Our 8-year Journey Grows
THANKS TO YOU!
As this year comes to a close, we want to sincerely thank you for being part of our community. Your trust and support made this year—and our eight-year journey—one of the most meaningful chapters yet.
This year, we proudly opened our third —and most beautiful—The Collar Club, West Hollywood Social Park. This destination features private members’ park access, seven-foot fountains and sculptural elements, lush trees, and even hummingbirds enjoying the park alongside our four-legged guests-- a true sanctuary in the heart of the city.
The Collar Club has become a community social hub for karaoke nights, live music, sports/movie viewing, our unnecessary 5 o'clock TRAFFIC JAM parties, and members-only events—celebrating everything that makes West Hollywood, and our community, so special.
Within that experience, we introduced Collar & Foam, our newest hospitality brand featuring third-wave coffee, a full kitchen, and craft cocktails, enhancing the Club’s social rhythm from morning through evening.
At the heart of everything we do is a story that began eight years ago—with a dog named Cavalino.
Cavalino wasn’t just a pet. He was family. He was a working partner during military service, a constant through hardship and recovery, and ultimately the reason this company exists. As his needs became more complex—physically and emotionally—it became clear that the pet care industry wasn’t designed for dogs like him. Loud salons, cages, rushed handling, and one-size-fits-all solutions simply weren’t acceptable.
So we built something different.
What began as a single grooming concept evolved into a spoke-style ecosystem, intentionally designed so that every part of The Collar Club reflects the same values we demanded for Cavalino himself: meaningful quality, uncompromising safety, transparency, and dignity in care.
Today, we proudly offer AKC-standard, 1:1 private, cage-free grooming for both dogs and cats in soundproof spa suites. Membership is never required for grooming, and guests are always welcome to book standalone services.
And yes—we’re technically members-only.
Because around here, the dogs are the members… and the humans are the help.
It keeps priorities straight.
Full-service grooming and spa treatments include a handmade designer bandana.
Reserve Guests—those on regular, recurring appointments—enjoy 15% off all hand-crafted coffee, pastries, and our full-service menu at The Collar Club West Hollywood Social Park. At our Sunset Strip Celebrity Hideaway, members enjoy complimentary craft beer, wine, champagne, and elevated refreshments as part of the destination experience.
When we opened our West Hollywood Social Club, we made a deliberate decision to take full responsibility for the space—consistently and without compromise. Prior to our arrival, the corner was impacted by chronic vandalism, break-ins, and a long-standing encampment, with little effective enforcement. That changed when we invested.
Through clear policies, active management, private security, and constant presence, we established order where there had been none. By enforcing boundaries, maintaining visibility, and caring for the space day and night, we eliminated recurring vandalism, removed unsafe activity, and restored the area to its intended use.
What was once scattered with broken glass now gleams with fresh paint, thoughtful design, greenery, community security, and purpose—an architecturally significant community hub and pet sanctuary that contributes positively to West Hollywood.
This year alone marked an extraordinary period of recognition, responsibility, and global reach. We were featured on the cover of the Los Angeles Times, including a two-page centerfold highlighting our entire ecosystem, and on the cover of the South China Morning Post, China’s largest news publication. RTL Europe produced a 22-minute documentary spotlighting our leadership in quality, innovation, and transparency, while NBC covered our work navigating complex regulatory environments with integrity.
The New York Times published its second in-depth feature on our journey within three years, including a cover story examining our ability to operate sustainably in West Hollywood—home to the highest minimum wage in the United States—and within Los Angeles’ exceptionally rigorous labor and enforcement environment. The coverage highlighted that for eight years, we have chosen to pay well beyond current wage requirements, reinforcing our belief that fair compensation, transparency, and care for people are foundational to long-term success and part of what makes West Hollywood and Los Angeles businesses so special.
We were also featured on the cover of Sprudge Magazine for pioneering innovation at the intersection of third-wave coffee, craft cocktails, and hospitality, nominated by the Chamber of Commerce as one of the most innovative pet-focused businesses in Los Angeles, and received a hand-signed letter of accommodation from the Mayor of Los Angeles recognizing our innovative business practices and global influence.
As part of this journey, we are deeply grateful to our members and guests for allowing us to grow with intention—and for supporting a locally owned, LGBTQ+, family-owned, military disabled veteran-owned business rooted in West Hollywood and Los Angeles.
This year, we deepened our commitment to service. In partnership with national youth foster care organizations, we worked with local grocers during our community food drive to donate over 7,500 pounds of food to local food banks. We proudly raised 375 toys in partnership with the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation, marking our seventh year of participation and continuing our role as West Hollywood’s official and sole Toys for Tots drop destination, and one of only three locations in Los Angeles selected for this honor.
This year also marked the completion of our three-year, $1M+ build-out of our West Hollywood flagship, the opening of our third members-only dog park, and the celebration of our eighth year in business. We proudly sponsored World Dog Day once again alongside Lisa Vanderpump, expanded internationally with a pet-friendly hospitality destination in Medellín, Colombia, and began preparations for upcoming filming with Netflix for a new dog-focused docu-series.
As part of this message, we’re also sharing a few images—moments of beautiful grooming work, calm dogs mid-spa, and glimpses of our new West Hollywood space—so you can see what this journey looks like today.
As we head into the new year, we invite you to walk by, stop in, wave hello, or enjoy the view from the street as we perform the safest, most transparent, highest-quality pet care in the world (ahem Rolls Royce Motorcars). (Just one small favor—please don’t knock on the windows. That’s rude. The dogs are busy being fabulous.)
Most importantly, none of this happens without our extraordinary staff—a team of skilled groomers, hospitality professionals, and caretakers who show up every day with craftsmanship, patience, kindness, and thick skin. We are deeply grateful for them.
Although Cavalino is no longer with us, his legacy lives in every space we build, every service we offer, and every standard we refuse to compromise. He remains our compass—and the reason we continue to push the industry forward.
None of this would be possible without your trust, loyalty, and belief in what we’re building. Our small, dedicated team is honored to serve your family—pets and their people—and we’re always just a call away.
For anything you need, our Collar Concierge can be reached directly at 424-443-4422.
Thank you for supporting our LGBTQ+, military-veteran, disabled, family-owned business. We’re deeply grateful—and excited for what lies ahead.
With appreciation, gratitude, and always.... empowerment through education-- transparency and quality & safety first.... aka: our core values.
