Mark your calendars!!! We’re hosting a Rabies Vaccination Clinic to help keep your pets safe, healthy, and up to date 🐶🐱

‼️ FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE- LIMITED AMOUNT OF VACCINES ‼️

📍 Location: West Haven Police Department – Community Room-200 Sawmill Rd, West Haven, CT

📅 Date: Saturday, June 13, 2026
⏰ Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
💉 Rabies Vaccination (Dogs & Cats): $20 (cash only)
🐶 Dog Licenses (West Haven residents only):
• $8 – Spayed/Neutered
• $19 – Not Spayed/Neutered (cash only)

🐾 Important Reminders:
✔️ Dogs must be on a leash
✔️ Cats must be in carriers
✔️ Please bring prior rabies paperwork if available
✔️ Without proof, a 1-year rabies certificate will be issued
✔️ With proof, dogs may receive a 3-year certificate

🐾 Looking for a loving home to spend his golden years. 🐾

This handsome senior gentleman, named Gustavo, is approximately 12 years old and has a heart full of love to give. He is super sweet, enjoys being by your side, and is happiest when spending time with his people.

After years of giving love and loyalty, then finding his self in a shelter, Gustavo deserves a soft bed, a caring family, and a place to call home. Senior dogs make wonderful companions—they’re grateful, gentle, and still have so much love left to share.

Gustavo had a clean bill of health! We will have to schedule a dental for him when gets adopted which will be covered by us!

Could you be the one to give him the retirement home he deserves? Please consider opening your heart and home to this special boy.

Kitten season is in full swing, and we currently have kittens available for adoption at the West Haven Animal Shelter! These little cuties are looking for families to call their own.

We are also caring for many more kittens that will be ready for adoption soon. If you're hoping to welcome a kitten into your home, we encourage you to get your application in now so you'll be ready when they become available.
