❣️ Hi! My name is Bruno! I'm a 5-year old male tricolor beagle! I have a birthday coming up in May & then I'll be 6! I love to be outside & go for walks! I think going for a walk is great fun! I love attention from my people! The more the better! :) I'm great with children! I'm in a foster home with a 4- & a 7-year old children & I do very well with them. I don't really play with them, though. I've lived with other dogs & I get along well with them! Sometimes I'm good with cats - sometimes not so much. You would probably have to work with me if you have a cat. I'm housetrained! I'm used to going outside about 5 times a day. I'll wait by the door to let you know I need to go outside. Sometimes I will bark to let you know I need to go outside. I'm crate trained also. I will howl when I first go into a crate, but then I settle down. I don't like to be alone. I'll bark the entire time my people are away. I just need to be with a person. If I have to be left alone, it's probably best to crate me. It helps me stay calm. So I need a forever home where me barking when I'm not with a person won't be a problem. I used to sleep on the furniture & in bed with my people. But the rules changed & my prior people had me sleep on a dog bed instead. I'm allowed to sleep where I want in my foster home! I had a really tough start to life. My mother had a C-section & they blow dried her. But I got a lot of the heat & part of my ear & top of my nose was burned off. It doesn't hurt now, though. I'm tough! So that's a little about me! I'm anxious to find my forever home! Are you it?? I'm up-to-date on vaccines & will be neutered before I'm adopted.

**UPDATE: FOSTER FOUND -- THANK YOU!**

**HEART BREAKING and URGENT... this 12 year old senior beagle has suffered enough. Can you give Jenga a temporary foster home? Good with other dogs, gentle and friendly. Does best when people are home but can be crated (though she may bark).

We foster and adopt within Pennsylvania or 4 hours from State College PA. We occasionally make exceptions for hard to place dogs. Medically complex or behavioral (i.e. terrified of people) we keep locally as possible.

Hi! My name is Jenga! I'm a 12-year-old female beagle mix. I've had a tough life. I wasn't taken very good care of. I was very underweight & had skin issues when I came into Nittany Beagle Rescue. I'm working on becoming healthy again! I'm starting to gain weight & my skin is starting to heal. But I still have a ways to go. I'm such a sweet girl! I just want to be loved! I love to be brushed! There have been so many changes in my life recently! I'm feeling very insecure. So I stick to my foster mom like Velcro! And I bark when left alone. I'm really anxious, but my anxiety is slowing improving. I like to explore & will get into things - like the nightstand or my foster mom's purse, & of course the garbage can! So you have to put things tight away with me in the house! :) I sleep in bed with my foster mom & her dogs at night. I'm starting to learn some commands, too! I'm learning "Let's go outside!", "Come here" & "Come" plus more! I'm very smart! I'm working on housetraining. I lived in a home in my prior life, but Nittany Beagle Rescue isn't sure how often I was taken outside. But I really really need a forever home where I will be loved & taken care of! Are you it?? I'm good with other dogs! I weigh about 21 lbs. I'm spayed & up-to-date on vaccines.

- Beagle x fox terrier mixes born 12/18/25
- Started on house & crate training (they're just babies!)
- Will need continued socialization. They're currently living with other dogs and cats but will benefit from training and positive social interaction!
- Will need spayed or neutered once old enough

💔With profound sadness we bring this final update. Nyusha was found deceased a short time ago. Her family tried so hard to find her. Our deepest sympathies to all who loved her. Fly high, sweet girl.
