LuvFurMutts Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) public charity small breed rescue serving the greater Cincinnati and tri-state area in Ohio. We serve the tri-state by rescuing small breed dogs (specifically seniors) from high kill shelters where they would have no other hope. We provide all of our rescue dogs with comprehensive veterinary care which includes and is not limited to; vaccinations, spay/neuter, micro chipping and heartworm testing and treatment prior to placing them with loving families. We firmly believe no matter the age of the dog or what their past may have been like, they still deserve rescue, rehabilitation and a loving home. LFM is always in need of volunteers to help with adoption events, transport and grooming. All help is greatly appreciated. If you would like to volunteer, send us a PM. Every pet is fostered until it is adopted. Foster homes are needed for dogs in need of a loving home until they can find their FOREVER home. If you are interested in fostering or would like to learn more about it:

•All we ask is that you bring your foster to adoption events.
•We take care of all the medical needs and food for your foster. Your foster will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and dewormed prior to coming into your home.
•Your foster will be micro-chipped. Would you like to be responsible for saving a dog’s life? We supply all the medical care for the dog, the food, the crate and you supply the love. If you have been thinking about adopting a dog, or want a playmate for the dog you have, fostering can turn out to be very beneficial for you and will help us all save another dog’s life. Remembering Our Beloved Founder, Carol Roberts 🐾

It’s hard to put into words the loss of someone who meant so much to so many. We’ve recently realized that many of our beloved followers may not yet know that our dearest Carol Roberts has passed away.

Carol was so much more than the founder of LuvFurMutts. She was our fearless leader, our fierce advocate for the voiceless, the heart behind our mission, and the backbone of so many lives saved. She was a force to be reckoned with, a woman with a heart bigger than words could ever describe, and someone who never stopped fighting for the animals who needed her most. Her compassion, determination, strength, and unwavering love for animals helped shape LuvFurMutts into what it is today.

To our LuvFurMutts family, you are such an important part of Carol’s legacy. Every adoption, every life saved, every family brought together, and every animal given a second chance is part of the beautiful story she helped write. We know so many of you loved Carol dearly, and we are forever grateful for the community that stood beside her and believed in her mission.

We find comfort in imagining that the moment Carol crossed that Rainbow Bridge, she was welcomed by an endless sea of wagging tails, happy barks, and all the precious souls she helped save along the way. 🐾🌈 If anyone has earned a reunion like that, it’s Carol.

We know that we don't post much. Carol's Ella & Quinn are still with us. They are both doing well considering their age. They are pictured below. Quinn loves to play outside. Ella is a cuddle bug. We love them very much. Almost as much as we miss Carol.

We had 2 dogs come in from the shelter. They had been adopted in 2013 & 2014. Thankfully, with a little internet sleuthing, we were able to reunite them with their owners.

We were given a lovely donation of a large cage, food, and treats. We were also sent a generous donation through a grant. The sender was anonymous. They have our gratitude!

We do a lot of outreach for seniors right now. It seems like something that Carol would have liked.

Please welcome Ellie to the rescue. She is a chi mix & is approximately 3 years old. She is the sweetest dog and so gentle. She weighs about 15 pounds. She is house trained and walks well on a leash. She is fine with kids, but due to her small size, she would be best in a home with children over the age of 10. Can you open your heart to this cutie?
