Central New England Equine Rescue (CNEER)

Central New England Equine Rescue (CNEER) Central New England Equine Rescue (CNEER) Central New England Equine Rescue (CNEER) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization located in Massachusetts.

We are an all-volunteer rescue for horses. (See what Guide Star has to say about CNEER. Guide Star has a database of information about U.S. nonprofit organizations.) We have a wonderful group of volunteers with the same goal in mind, to rescue and rehabilitate horses. Everyone involved at CNEER ensures that all horses rescued are treated with the best possible care. We know what is involved in the

rehabilitation to make them healthy and restore their spirit. We also have learned that we cannot do everything for all horses, but we can do something! One horse at a time, we fight the good fight to restore faith to these magnificent creatures that have been put through great suffering in their lifetime.

The fun feeling of knowing that great things will be done today filled the air. Fencing that has needed fixing for a while would get the uplift it needed. How do you say thank you to folks who worked their hearts out in the blazing heat and made it all happen... securing the paddocks and field here at Central New England Equine Rescue for the horses?
The amount of work done today by Mike, Will, Matt, Christian and Veda of Safelite and Derek of DG Construction was phenomenal. Our volunteers, Roberta, Mark, Terri, ⁴Michele, Barbara, Ruth, Roxie, Roxann and Leeny, did all chores and tended to the needs of the horses while Safelite and Derek dug out old posts (not an easy task) replaced with new ones measured and cut new rails after taking down rotted rails (and chewed rails) and smiled through the sweat of it all. We are all truly so grateful to this hard working task force of your employees. They are professional, friendly and a joy to have here, they represent your name well.

We had a good day with these beauties. So blessed to be a part of the crew that saves them, grooms them, and grateful we are here to be their⁴ hope.... ....underneath I harbor the thoughts of those hoping....waiting and there is no one to pull them from their hopelessness the horse in the halter with the note was a faithful companion and now in the slaughter pipeline. For the family that thought he was going somewhere safe he deserved better from you. (The horse in Colby's pic with the note tied to his halter did get pulled by a rescue)
The pain of putting a friend down is so difficult to do ... but nothing compared to the fear the horse undergoes of being uprooted from a home and then moved to a feed lot where a cruel end awaits.
There are no easy answers but their is a last best gift you can give.
