2020 I purchased a sunset combo male and a few het sunset combo females. It was very pricey then.
At the time I was the only one at the reptile show with 2 visual sunset morphs displayed. Many people have never seen this morph in person.
He didn't breed successfully at 600 grams then at 700 grams. Nothing. And the females were not up to size to breed for 3 years. Year 4 they were finally up to size. Attempted to pair them up. Nothing. Then last year nothing again.
2026 only 1 female bred successfully. 4 eggs. 2 were weak eggs. The 3rd egg died 2 weeks before due date. Only 1 egg remained.
2 days after estimated hatch date this girl pipped.
It was a struggle. But I'm happy.
This is the life of breeding reptiles. Some wins are extremely delayed.
