Holiday travel on the calendar? Now’s the time to plan your pet’s care! 🐾

Thanksgiving care is best confirmed by late October, and Christmas care by early-to-mid November. Holiday pet sitting in Tampa Bay often fills 6–8 weeks ahead. Boutique sitters can book up before apps because we don’t overbook. We save space for the pets in our care.

Our new blog shares a helpful booking timeline for Tampa and Wesley Chapel pet parents, plus a written care-sheet checklist to help make your pet’s routine easy to follow while you’re away.

The reunion is only half the journey. 🐾 Some pets stick close, follow you from room to room, or need a little extra time to settle after you return, and that can be a normal part of readjusting.

Keep your homecoming calm and low-key, then ease back into familiar routines. When meals, walks, medication, and rest stay on their usual schedule during care, pets often settle more comfortably afterward. Be patient with extra clinginess and offer reassurance without rushing them.

If clinginess persists, or you notice sudden or ongoing changes in behavior, check in with your veterinarian for guidance.

Steady, familiar care at home helps make the transition back feel a little easier. What does your pet do when you come home?

Holiday travel is coming up, and a little preparation can bring a lot of peace of mind! 🐾

Before you go, remember to:

• Check with your veterinarian about a pre-travel checkup.
• Refill medications early, and pack enough for the entire trip plus a little buffer.
• Write down feeding instructions, medication schedules, routines, and any special-needs details.
• Update emergency contacts, including your veterinarian’s information.
• Make sure your pet’s microchip information is current.

If your pet is staying home, clear written instructions help their caregiver keep everything consistent: from meals and medication to comfort, companionship, and special care.

A few thoughtful preparations now can help make the holidays calmer for everyone. Have a splendid and safe trip! ✨

Wellness Wednesday #2 🐾

Dental care can be an easy part of a pet’s routine to overlook, but mouth health matters at every age, especially for senior pets.

At home, notice changes such as:
• Bad breath or drooling
• Chewing on one side or dropping food
• Pawing at the mouth
• Less interest in hard food

You can support a gentle routine with pet-safe toothpaste, dental chews approved for your pet’s size, and a brief, gentle look inside the mouth, never force it. If you notice changes, ask your veterinarian about next steps and professional cleanings.

During in-home care visits, we keep an eye out for little changes in daily routines, especially for senior and special-needs pets. šŸ’›

Some adventures happen a little closer to the ground: or wrapped around an arm! šŸ

Meet Java, one of our past boa constrictor clients. Java is curious, observant, and always ready to explore at their own pace. With thoughtful handling and plenty of support, Java enjoyed a little ride while taking in the world around him.

For reptiles, enrichment does not have to look like a dog walk or a game of fetch. It may be safe exploration, a change of perspective, or simply time outside the enclosure with a trusted caregiver. Above all else, they need to be safe and comfortable.

That last part matters most. Reptile handling should always follow the animal’s care plan, comfort level, and guardian’s instructions. We watch body language, move calmly, and let each pet’s preferences guide the experience.

We love caring for special clients beyond cats and dogs!

Wondering what actually happens after you reach out to Pet Concierge? Here’s the simple, thoughtful process we follow from inquiry to first visit. 🐾

First, we learn about your pets, their routines, personalities, preferences, health needs, schedule, and the kind of care you’re looking for. No two households are exactly alike, so this conversation helps us understand what matters most to your family.

Next comes an in-home meet-and-greet with you and your pets. We get familiar with their environment, favorite hiding spots, comfort cues, feeding routine, medication schedule, and anything else that helps them feel secure.

Together, we create a personalized care plan that includes daily routines, temperament notes, preferences, medication instructions, emergency contacts, and veterinary authorization. We also discuss keys and home access so arrival and entry are clear, comfortable, and secure.

When the first solo visit arrives, your caregiver already has a thoughtful plan in place. We follow your pets’ routine, provide their care in the comfort of home, and send daily updates and photos with every visit.

That’s the goal from the very beginning: no mystery, no guessing, and no wondering how your pets and home are being cared for while you’re away. Just dependable, individualized care for pet parents throughout Wesley Chapel and Tampa.

One concierge. One household. One calm, consistent routine. ✨

At Pet Concierge, ā€œnever overbookedā€ means more than a promise: it shapes how care happens. Visits aren’t stacked back to back, and your pet’s care isn’t rushed. Meals, walks, enrichment, bathroom breaks, and medication schedules happen on their routine, not according to a crowded calendar.

When holiday travel picks up and schedules fill, pets deserve more than whatever time is left over. They deserve a familiar caregiver who knows their preferences, notices the little things, and gives their household the attention it deserves.

That’s why we care for one household at a time. The same trusted caregiver shows up, visits stay unrushed, routines remain consistent, and pets can enjoy the comfort of care in their own home.

Professional, individualized in-home pet care for the Wesley Chapel and Tampa communities.

Fall in Tampa Bay brings cooler routines, and a few seasonal hazards worth checking before paws head outside! šŸ‚

☐ After rain, watch closely for toxic cane toads. Keep pets from mouthing them and contact your veterinarian right away if exposure is suspected.

☐ Check damp yards for mushrooms. Don’t let pets nibble unknown varieties.

☐ Clear acorns, fallen branches, and storm debris from walkways and play areas.

☐ With shorter daylight, add visibility with reflective gear or a light for evening walks.

☐ Keep meals, medications, rest, and exercise on a steady schedule as fall routines shift.

For pet parents in Wesley Chapel and Tampa, our in-home visits include attentive observation, personalized care, and daily updates to help keep your pets comfortable and safe at home.
