Sunday the clinic gathered for a sad occasion. Many of you know and love our resident house cat Tony. About a year ago we discovered he had cancer. Treatment was not going to change much so we elected to keep him comfortable for as long as possible. Over the last few weeks he has been declining. While his personality was still there, he was loosing weight and strength.

So on Sunday he was spoiled. He got to take some laps around the clinic outside, he ate tuna and other treats to his heart content. Then surrounded by all the people who loved him, we said farewell.

Tony, you were the best clinic cat! For at least the last decade, he greeted customer, tested dogs to see if they were good with cats, loved on kids who came to the clinic and just brought joy to everyone who me you.

Happy Veterinary Technician Appreciation week!

We appreciate all that our technicians do for Animal Talk and our patients every day! Some days are easier than others but through it all they work hard and put their heart and soul into all the patients they care for.

Dr Lucas and myself may be biased but we think we have the best staff and know we could not do what we do without each and everyone of them!

To our staff, thank you and know we appreciate you more than we can ever express!

To our clients, if you are in the clinic this week feel free to tell our staff Happy tech appreciation week!

This week Dr Lucas and I plan something each day to show our appreciation. Sometimes is a meal, sometimes its a gift card. Just some to remind them they mean a lot to us!

🐾 **EARLY CLOSING ALERT!** 💍

**We will be closing early at 2:00 PM Friday Oct 2nd** so we can get everyone taken care of and then send our crew off to celebrate Hannah’s big day! ❤️

Please plan accordingly for medication/food pickups and anything else you may need from us.

Yesterday marked the beginning of a new chapter at Animal Talk. We said good by to our practice management software that was in place for almost 40 years and welcomed a new one. Cornerstone is the software Dr Lucas has known his entire life and vet med career, the software his dad brought into the practice in the early 1990’s. This meant a lot of trial and tribulations yesterday. But with the patience of our clients and determination of our staff we survived and got everyone taken care of.

So thank you if you were in clinic yesterday for being patient while we figured things out.

If you are coming in this week. Please be patient and kind. Our staff is working very hard to make sure we are seeing everyone timely but also that each patient is cared for in the very best ways. Sometimes that means triple checking we entered things in the right places. Sometimes that means learning how to request diagnostics. However that means it might take just a little bit longer.

Incase you’re wondering…yes she is spoiled and spends many nights sharing a pillow with Dr Lucas!
