Following the toast track, Ruca went 2 for 2 yesterday.

The first track was pretty straightforward—250 yards to a liver-hit doe.

The second deer had a little more fight left in him… literally. We went in at the 10½-hour mark on a gut/intestinal hit, and hindsight says he needed more time.He was very much alive and quite the bully. Another arrow was needed, and Ruca was ready to argue about who was in charge! 😳

A tough catch-22 between giving that deer more time and still having legal shooting light. Every track teaches you something.

got to meet her first deer!

The goal sounded simple: shoot a deer for the dog. Three days and a parade of small bucks later, I finally harvested a doe. Apparently, nobody told the deer we had a training schedule. 😂

A simple track with the doe at the end. Toast’s reaction was worth the wait—a little hesitation, a couple of jump scares, and some serious questions about what she’d just found.

Then she heard, “Yes! Good girl! That’s your deer!” and decided this whole tracking thing might be pretty fun.

She got the heart as her reward. Eat your heart out, kid! ❤️

First deer, first lesson, and hopefully the start of a whole lot more.

38* … oh boy! Who’s all hunting this weekend?

First archery deer! Congratulations Tyler Brice! Liver Hit.

Ruca went 1/2 today, 2nd deer we believe may still be alive. Possible shoulder hit.

BOTH hunters were kind enough to donate directly to KK’s go fund me page. Thank you!

Congratulations Austin Turnbough!
We had the challenge in working a grass field and trying to find the exit/ entrance into the timber. Ruca worked the edges then finally picked out a bloodless trail to Austin’s buck.

Hunters! This lil tracker KK needs your help, she will probably be tracking the gut shots of your kids or grandkids deer one day! A percentage of the income from this years tracks will be going directly into her fund. Her grandmother is my mentor Mary Wilson of Blue Bagheera Tracking and kk loves to track! Every little bit helps!!

If you can not donate, please keep her in your prayers!

If you know Kennedy, you know why everyone calls her KK. She… mark maniaci needs your support for Help Kennedy “KK” Through Her Fight Against a Spinal Tumor

Congratulations on this stud of a buck to this young man! Oakley arrowed this awesome velvet buck the night prior to tracking. I asked Oakley where he hit the deer on my deer chart and he was dead on! (Liver, gut) Him and his dad made the right call in backing out.

Him and Ruca became good friends afterwards as the kid has a heck of an arm and Ruca loves to play fetch!

Opening day success! Congratulations Ryan and thank you for your service 🇺🇸! 1 drop of blood was found in a few hundred yards during tracking. Shoulder with slight deflection into the goodies.
