Rain, rain, go away… we’ve got fieldwork to do! 🌧️🐾

It’s been a very wet week, so we’ve been squeezing in field runs whenever the downpours give us a little break. The grass is soggy, the sky is gloomy, and this pup is still ready to get to work! A little rain won’t keep these field dogs from doing what they love. 😄

🐾 The Five Stages of “Place” Training 🐾

1️⃣ The Overachiever: “Look at me! I’m sitting perfectly. Where’s my treat?”
2️⃣ The Taste Tester: “I’m on place… and I can already taste the reward.” 👅
3️⃣ The Drama Queen: “PLACE?! AGAIN?! This is absolute torture!” 😱
4️⃣ The Suspicious One: “I’m doing it—but I don’t trust any of you.” 🤨
5️⃣ The Pancake: “Technically, all four paws are on place. I will be taking no further questions.” 😂

Same command. Five dogs. Five completely different interpretations.

One of the dogs brought me the pumpkin-spice toy… and obviously I took that as a direct order to load up the doggy daycare crew and head to Scooter’s. 🎃☕️🐾

I don’t make the rules. The dogs requested seasonal beverages, and as a responsible business owner, I had no choice but to comply. 😂

Pup cups for them, caffeine for me—because supervising this furry little fall cult is exhausting. 🍁🤣

This week’s accomplishments at Marzolf X Kennel! 🐾🐦

✅ Bird introductions with all the dogs
✅ Launcher introductions
✅ Lots of recall work

We’re building the foundation so we can start putting it all together in the field! Hunting season is getting closer, and it’s time to get these dogs ready to work. We’re getting so close—the excitement is real!
