Scholtz Cattle Company We produce and market elite breeding stock that excel in performance and phenotypic characteristics. Our operation consists of two farms sites.

SCHOLTZ CATTLE COMPANY is a second generation Angus Farm owned and operated by the Scholtz Family; Andrew and Lainie Scholtz, Greg Scholtz, and Emily Scholtz. Our South Dakota site is where Andrew and Lainie call home. It's located near Wentworth in Eastern SD and develops the show calves, manages donors, and markets show and replacement cattle. Our Minnesota site, located near Comfrey in Southwestern MN, is where it all began and is home to Greg Scholtz. In MN we manage our breeding program, calve out cows, and develop calves till weaning.

State fair looked a bit different this year. The Johnson crew did all the heavy lifting and Lainie and I showed up for the back drops. I’m already thinking about how much I’m going to miss these three kids as they grow and head down their own life paths!

There are a few days that solidify our why and remind us of our passion a little more than others. Having the Johnson cow poke crew sharing in my vision added to my fire. My millionth thank you goes out publicly. I didn’t know working cows could be this easy! God is good

This awesome Christmas weather allowed us to get a donor pic of our favorite girl!

If you followed her this show season you saw that she is an absolute beast of an animal! So stout, so powerful, yet moves flawlessly! Our favorite part however, is how she’s a complete pet with the best personality. We are overly excited to multiply her quality in many calf crops to come!

It was a special Dirt Fair for all of us this week! Our hard work paid off and there were a few tears of joy from our favorite showman!

Thank you to everyone of our supporters and friends for making the feeling last more than just a day!

Every person and program I view as a role model talks about how many people are needed to make the journey a success. I believe I have the best team out there!

It puts a smile on my face that the next generation of Scholtz’s are getting their first 4-H project ready and there is a show calf back in Dads chute for halter breaking!

It’s always nostalgic. Breeding season anxiety ending with turn out time!
