🐾 A broken clock, a missing AA battery, and a Labrador puppy.

At just 17 weeks old, Mikayla had turned a chewed-up bedside clock into a medical emergency. X-rays revealed where the battery had gone. Finding it was only the first step. What followed would take her into surgery and begin her road to recovery.

What should you do if this happens to your pet?

Call a veterinarian or emergency line immediately, even if your pet seems fine. Do not induce vomiting or give food, water, medication, or a home neutralizer unless a veterinary professional directs you.

Our annual pet remembrance ofrenda returns to Cascade Veterinary Clinics’ Wenatchee location to honor the companions we love and miss.

Rooted in the Mexican tradition of Día de los Mu***os, an ofrenda brings together photographs, flowers, and meaningful offerings to remember loved ones who have passed away.

🐾 We’ve been keeping a secret, and it’s time for introductions! Meet Kenzie Williams, LVT, the newest member of our pack 💙

Kenzie’s path into veterinary medicine started with something personal. Losing a pet as a child made her want to understand more about animal care and help other families feel better informed when caring for their own pets.

She began working in a veterinary hospital in 2017 and continued building her experience while pursuing her education. Along the way, she played college volleyball for the Blue Mountain Community College Timberwolves, where she was a setter and team captain. 🏐

Now at Cascade, she’s looking forward to new challenging caseloads, specialty surgeries, and getting to know our amazing clients and teammates.

🐾 Meet Sabrina Fitzgerald, LVT. A long-term goal, more than a decade in the making, is now official.

After working through difficult exams, Sabrina passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination and earned her credential.

“I kept the date to myself so I could take the exam without any added pressure.”

She credits the encouragement, teaching, and support of her Cascade teammates for helping her take that final step. We see that same persistence and compassion in the way she cares for every patient.

“I am most proud that I kept trying and pushing myself to finish.”

Away from the clinic, Sabrina is an avid horse lover, a dog and cat mom, a human mom, wife, and a loyal friend. We’re so proud to celebrate this accomplishment with her.

The end of an era at Cascade Vet. 💙

Today is Pam’s last day with our team as she begins a well-earned retirement after nearly six years of dedicated service.

For those who may not know her, Pam has been one of the familiar faces behind the front desk at our East Wenatchee location. For many of our clients, she has been the calm voice they hear when they call and one of the first smiles they see when they walk through our doors. Her demeanor, gentleness, and genuine compassion have helped countless pet owners feel welcomed, supported, and cared for.

Behind the scenes, Pam has been the kind of teammate every company hopes to have. Whether she was helping clients, answering phones, processing payments, stocking supplies, organizing medications, or keeping things running smoothly, she approached every task with care and took pride in her work.

Pam was also a key part of one of the biggest milestones in our history—our move into our new East Wenatchee facility in 2024. Through all the packing, planning, and countless moving pieces, she helped make that transition a success.

More than anything, we’ll remember the person she is: dependable, kind, loyal, and always willing to help. She’s been a steady presence for our team, our clients, and the pets we’ve cared for together, and her impact on Cascade will be felt long after today.

Pam, thank you for everything you’ve given to our team and community over the years. We wish you nothing but happiness, relaxation, and plenty of time with your sweet Ozzy in this next chapter.
