It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of a very special member of the Kelcie’s family — our beloved Kelcie 🧡
Kelcie wasn’t simply the namesake of Kelcie’s Horse Treats. She was the little dog who inspired it all.
From the very beginning, Kelcie’s name represented the love we have for the animals who become so much more than pets. They are our companions, our family, and often the inspiration behind the things that mean the most to us. When Kelcie’s Horse Treats was created, there was no name more fitting than hers.
And, of course, she took her responsibilities within the company very seriously.
As our beloved Chairdog and Chief Quality Taster, Kelcie held one of the most important positions on the Kelcie’s team. She was always ready to lend her expert opinion when treats were involved and remained a very dedicated member of quality control throughout the years.
While our hearts are broken to say goodbye, we feel incredibly fortunate that Kelcie’s name — and the joy, love, and inspiration behind it — will forever be woven into the story of this company.
Every bag of Kelcie’s carries her name. Every treat shared with a much-loved horse carries forward the idea that inspired us from the beginning: our animals deserve the very best we can give them.
Kelcie may no longer be sitting in the Chairdog’s seat, but she will always be at the heart of Kelcie’s🧡
Thank you, sweet Kelcie, for inspiring something that grew far beyond your name and for being our very first — and forever favorite — quality taster.
