Number one, in my opinion when dealing with a horse.

Note: they get socialization skills vary very very young.

Consistency — a horse that gets the same fair, predictable handling every single day builds trust faster than one that gets a spectacular weekend and chaos the rest of the week.
The secret underneath that is reading the horse in front of you instead of running a program. I say this, all horses, like people, have idiosyncrasies.
Two horses need two different approaches, and the ones who do best are the ones whose people actually notice individuality.
You want to go on a trail ride with your best friend. Make it fun for both of you.
Note: if it is just you and your horse go alone, take Smith and Wesson or a HBS of somesort.. You're not required to yield to unofficial road blocks. The forest is yours.

Be consistent, fair, and realize you are not always right.

Good evening, everyone. Xtreme is holding a practice this coming Saturday, June 13, 2026. If you would like to practice before the shoot that is the following weekend, June 20-21, 2026.

Here are the details

• Date: June 13, 2026
• Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
• Practice Fee: $40 (includes ammunition and balloons)
• Ground Fee: $15 for riders wanting to expose their horse(s)
to shooting without fully participating
• Lunch: Not provided for this practice

This gorgeous Rocky Mountain geld is 3 years old.
He has an incredible disposition and a willingness to please. He is comfortable and level minded. He is ( in my opinion ) built for relax and enjoy, not a speed demon.
I'm including pictures as we went on an orientation ride.
He is for sale, he is young in age but very grounded. For the right person I will include an introduction lesson.
This is the perfect horse for a trail rider.
