Today we’re celebrating someone very special at the shelter...our new Shelter Administrator, Bradi. 🎂🐾

Staff surprised Bradi with a birthday cake today, and of course, the crew was happy to help celebrate. Around here, any excuse for cake and a little laughter is a good one, especially when it gives us a chance to recognize someone who gives so much of herself to the animals in our care.

Since joining the Humane Society of Burnett County, Bradi has already made such a positive difference. Her heart for animals, her steady leadership, and her never-ending devotion to helping the dogs and cats who come through our doors can be felt every day.

Please join us in wishing Bradi a very happy birthday and in thanking her for all she is doing for HSBC and the animals we love. 💛

We’ll be sharing a special feature about Bradi in our next issue of The Woof Report, our HSBC newsletter. To receive the newsletter, sign up on our website here: https://hsburnettcty.org/

A big thank you to all those that sent donations from our Amazon Wish List - especially the hand-held vacuums for the cat kennels. The staff love them!
We're reaching out again as we are in need of Bleach and Disinfecting Wipes - we are running low. Both are added to our wish list:

When Ginny arrived at HSBC as a stray over Memorial Day weekend, we hoped she would quickly settle in and begin her journey toward a brighter future.

Instead, shelter life is breaking her heart.

Despite receiving the maximum amount of anxiety medication prescribed for her, Ginny is struggling every day. She cries. She paces. She pants. She shivers. She rubs her face against the kennel door until it's red and sore. The stress and constant noise of shelter life have become overwhelming for this sweet girl.

The heartbreaking part?

Ginny loves people.

She loves attention, affection, and simply being near someone who cares. She gets along well with other dogs and seeks comfort from the people around her. She isn't asking for much.

Just a quiet place to rest.

A soft bed.

A calm environment.

A kind hand.

A chance to breathe.

We know that once Ginny is out of the shelter and into a home environment, her true personality will have the opportunity to shine. Right now, the stress of kennel life is preventing her from being the happy, loving dog we know she can be.

Could you be Ginny's safe place?

🐾 HSBC provides food, supplies, veterinary care, and ongoing support.
🐾 We have two dog trainers on staff to help foster families succeed.
🐾 You provide the love, patience, and temporary home she desperately needs.

Sometimes saving a life doesn't require a lifetime commitment.

Sometimes it simply means opening your home and your heart when a dog needs it most.

If you can foster Ginny, please contact us today or complete a foster application here: https://hsburnettcty.org/dog-foster-application/

Please share. Her person may be just one share away.

❤️ Ginny is waiting.
