The difference between them and dogs playing fetch is that Maine C***s will often play with the toy before bringing it back, and that game can last for hours! My breeding cats are all tested for a myriad of DNA variants, and if the tests are imperfect, I will not breed them. They are free of the known HCM variants, a heart condition that affects approximately 1/3 of all Maine C**n cats, hip dysplasia and other common health issues.
