We’ve got lots of new friends!!
I’m also supposed to be posting diligently 😵‍💫. So… I thought that I would give everyone a little bit of details about our business.
We have a vibrant lesson program, and teach a handful of families.
We start the kids as young as three, and there’s definitely no top end on the age. I would say personally, we are very competitive. We show all over the country, and of course in Texas. We mainly show at the rated shows…. But have recently added a UDJC show every other month!!
We start feeding the frenzy with barn shows, and then migrate up!!
You don’t have to desire to be competitive to be a part of the barn, but it’s definitely a common thread!

Hey Thursday lesson friends!
Know that our A plan is to do lessons this evening, but we are watching smoke from the Ross fire. Yesterday, morning, we had to cut our lesson short, the air quality was very poor. It’ll be a game time decision, but thinking we should be ok

For Sale or lease.
Star baby
In barn lease or sale only. We’ve had star since she was 4. She’s a great pony! A little spicy but so fun!
Star is trimmed every 5 weeks ($85). She is eligible for school horse board ($550) if we can use her outside of lessons!
If you average about $100 month, her annual veterinary shouldn’t exceed that.
Lessons are on top of board.
A lease requires a 12 month contract. $1500 and you assume all the expenses, as if you own her. Again. Only on site lease ♥️

For sale.
The best girl. “Rosie “ .
Whhhhaaatttt… I want to sell her in the barn.
WHY?! She’s the best!!!!
1. She deserves a kid
2. I’m happy to continue teaching, on both personal, show horses & privately owned horses, but trying to minimize keeping horses for the school program
Rosie will come with a discounted board of $550 if we can use her in lessons the days you don’t ride. Full board is $750.
Lessons are on top of board $300 once a week. …. But if you do $560 ( twice a week) the kids can ride their own horse in as many lessons as they like!!!
She’s trimmed ( about $85 every 5 weeks) and I factor about $100 month for average general annual veterinary care.
Message me for details 8179640275
She will not be sold off property.

I wanted to share a link, I finally have stopped long enough to look at their structure, and absolutely love it. We are going to start adding monthly UDJC shows into our schedule. These shows offer competitive showing, without the cost of rated shows.
We will still be doing rated shows, as they are unavoidable whenever we are chasing national points, however, we are going to be adding these to give our students a greater opportunity to show in a fraction of the cost. The first one will be in September. We plan to do one in September, October & November!!!

The farrier.
We have lots of beginners follow our page, as well as lots of colleagues, but I thought I would touch on a topic today that may be some of our more beginners did not know, or perhaps our Horse owners did not understand
We have our Farrier set on a five week schedule. Some of our horses have therapeutic shoes, and some can have normal. Conventional shoes. Some of our horses have a four week trim schedule, those that we choose to try to keep barefoot but can grow funky if not done at an earlier time.
The shoes and trim care range in cost. The economical ones cost about $85 to trim, the more expensive therapeutic shoes can cost up to $470. I personally try to keep the most natural minimal thing on the horses feet.
Good fair your care is critical to the stress in their feet, not just the souls of their feet, but the bone structures in their feet also.
I charge a Farrier handling fee of $40 per horse when they are trimmed or set with shoes at our house.
Why do we charge this?
We are the ones that must go out into the pasture catch the horses, and then hold them for the Farrier, it consumes our entire day
To take horses over to the therapeutic Farrier, we charge $100 a day, as well as a $50 transport fee. Again, we charge this because it consumes our entire day.
It is extremely necessary, but extremely time-consuming. If you have a good Farrier, though, and provide good hoof care for your horse, you can minimize the amount of joint injections that you have to do, as well as making them as comfortable as possible. ♥️
