🎓 MEET HONEY — MY NEWEST STUDENT! 🐶💕

Please join me in giving a BIG West Texas Dog Trainer welcome to HONEY, a beautiful young Bernedoodle from Weatherford, Texas, and the newest student enrolled in the West Texas Dog Trainer LLC Off-Leash Obedience Program! 🐕🎓

Honey comes to me from a wonderful, growing family who wants to give her the training, structure, and guidance she needs to become a confident, well-mannered, and dependable family companion. ❤️🏡

Like many young dogs, Honey has developed a few habits that are making everyday life a little more challenging than her family would like.

🐾 Some of the behaviors I’ll be working to improve include:

🐕 Housebreaking and establishing good potty habits

🐕 Excessive energy and difficulty settling down

🐕 Jumping on people and furniture

🐕 Play biting and inappropriate mounting

🐕 Bolting through open doors

🐕 Pulling on the leash

🐕 Counter surfing and stealing food

🐕 Stress, separation-related anxiety, and difficulty relaxing

But there’s another important part of Honey’s story. ❤️

Honey is a sweet, gentle girl with a somewhat shy and sensitive personality. New people, unfamiliar environments, and new experiences can sometimes leave her feeling uncertain.

🎯 MY MISSION WITH HONEY:

My goal isn’t simply to teach Honey to sit, stay, come, or walk nicely on a leash.

It’s to help her develop the CONFIDENCE, TRUST, SELF-CONTROL, and RELIABILITY she needs to navigate everyday life successfully.

Most importantly, I’ll work toward giving her family the knowledge and tools they need to maintain her progress and enjoy a lifetime of companionship together.

Honey, you’ve got a lot to learn, little girl, but you’ve also got a whole lot of potential, and I can’t wait to see the dog you become!

📢 I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…📣

I LIKE dogs… but I absolutely LOVE a fantastic, well-mannered, well-trained dog! 🐕💯

And when I receive messages like this one, it reminds me exactly why I’m so passionate about what I do.

I received this wonderful update just a little while ago from the family of SAM, a Springer Spaniel from College Station, Texas. And I couldn’t help but smile!

Here’s what Sam’s owner had to say:

💬 “Jett got his ring this weekend and of course Sam was in attendance at his dunk. Sam was so well behaved, genuinely the best he’s ever acted. Practically no barking, stayed in place, laid down and chilled out when told, and overall listened, even with a pretty crazy environment and new people around him. Again, we can’t thank you enough for helping us and Sam get to the point we can all enjoy life together.”

And then came the words that really made my day…

❤️ “He’s miles ahead of anything I thought he was capable of.”

THAT, my friends, is what it’s all about!

It’s not just about teaching a dog to sit, stay, or come when called.

It’s about giving families the freedom and confidence to include their four-legged best friends in life’s most meaningful moments.

It’s about a dog being able to accompany his family into a busy, exciting environment, surrounded by unfamiliar people, sights, sounds, and distractions… and simply RELAX, LISTEN, and BE PART OF THE FAMILY!

And it’s about owners discovering that their dog is capable of so much more than they ever imagined.

Jett’s ring dunk was a special milestone, and the fact that Sam could be right there celebrating alongside his family makes it even sweeter!

I couldn’t be prouder of Sam and his family. They’ve put in the work, built the relationship, and are now enjoying the rewards.

Please help me welcome ATLAS, a Lagotto Romagnolo from Arlington, Texas, to the West Texas Dog Trainer Off-Leash Obedience Program!

Atlas comes from a wonderful family with a busy work and sports schedule—and this energetic boy has definitely kept them on their toes! With a big personality and endless energy, Atlas is here to learn how to settle down, listen, and become a more manageable member of the family.

He’s currently working through several behavioral challenges, including housebreaking, overexcitement, mounting, submissive or excited urination, jumping, nuisance barking and whining, play biting, door bolting, leash pulling, counter surfing, jumping on furniture, and separation anxiety.

That’s exactly why he’s here!

Over the coming weeks, I’ll focus on reliable obedience, impulse control, calm behavior, confidence, structure, and the skills Atlas needs to thrive at home and in public.

This wild and crazy boy has plenty of potential—and I’m ready to bring it out!

🚨🐾 THIS IS A BIG ONE, FOLKS!!! 🐾🚨

🏆 PLEASE HELP ME CONGRATULATE OLLIE!!! 🏆

Meet OLLIE, my incredible Double Merle, Deaf Australian Shepherd from Carrollton, Texas, and the NEWEST GRADUATE of the West Texas Dog Trainer Off-Leash Obedience Program! 🎓🐾🇺🇸

Where do I even begin with this one?

Every once in a while, a dog comes along who reminds you exactly WHY you do what you do. A dog who challenges your experience, tests your patience, pushes your abilities, and ultimately reminds you just how extraordinary these animals truly are.

OLLIE IS THAT DOG.

Ollie’s story began with an incredible family who opened their hearts and home to a dog who desperately needed a second chance.

But love alone wasn’t going to solve the challenges they were facing.

Ollie was deaf, highly reactive, constantly barking, lunging, and displaying behavior that had made everyday life incredibly difficult. Boundaries were nonexistent, manners were nowhere to be found, and his family was overwhelmed.

The first time I met Ollie, he attempted to bite me MULTIPLE TIMES.

This wasn’t simply a dog who needed to learn to sit or stay. This was a dog who needed someone to find a way to communicate with him, earn his trust, establish clear expectations, and give him the structure he had been missing.

And that’s exactly what I set out to do.

THE CHALLENGE? Ollie couldn’t hear a single word I said.

THE SOLUTION? Find another way to communicate.

Through carefully introduced electronic collar vibration, clear hand signals, consistency, patience, and a solid foundation of obedience, I began building something Ollie had never truly experienced before.

COMMUNICATION. TRUST. UNDERSTANDING.

And slowly, something remarkable started happening.

Ollie began to CONNECT.

He began to THINK.

He began to TRUST.

And most importantly, he began to understand what I was asking of him.

FAST FORWARD 35 DAYS…

🔥 WHAT. AN. ABSOLUTE. TRANSFORMATION!!! 🔥

I can say without hesitation that Ollie has become ONE OF THE FINEST DEAF DOGS I HAVE EVER HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF TRAINING.

But the moment that really got me?

THE SEND-HOME LESSON.

Watching Ollie’s owner step up, bring his absolute A-game, and see firsthand what his dog had become was something special.

The amazement on his face said EVERYTHING.

The dog who once seemed impossible to manage was now demonstrating obedience, focus, self-control, and a willingness to work with his owner.

SAME DOG. DIFFERENT UNDERSTANDING. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FUTURE.

Tonight, Ollie heads home to the family who never gave up on him.

And that, my friends, is what makes this story so powerful.

A family saw something worth saving in a dog who needed help. They made the commitment, trusted the process, and gave Ollie the opportunity to become the dog they always believed he could be.

Now it’s their turn to continue building on that foundation, and I have every confidence they will.

🐾 🚨 NEW STUDENT ALERT! 🚨 🐾

Please join me in welcoming GEORGIE, the one-year-old Golden Retriever from Dallas, Texas, and the newest student in the West Texas Dog Trainer LLC Off-Leash Obedience Program! 🐕🎓

Georgie comes to me from a wonderful family in Dallas who wants to provide her with the training she needs to become the very best version of herself.

Like many young dogs, Georgie has developed a few habits that can make everyday life challenging for her family. Some of these include jumping on people, excessive barking and whining, pulling on the leash, ignoring recall commands, bolting through open doors, counter surfing, jumping on furniture, and destructive chewing. Her family has also reported some separation-related anxiety.

While these behaviors can certainly be frustrating, they do not define the dog. They simply identify areas where better communication, clear expectations, consistency, and proper training can make a tremendous difference.

And Georgie has a LOT going for her!

She has a fantastic disposition, a naturally calm demeanor, and an eagerness to learn that has already caught my attention. From my early observations, Georgie is an intelligent young dog with tremendous potential.

My goal isn’t simply to teach Georgie commands. It’s to help her develop the confidence, self-control, reliability, and good habits that will allow her to live peacefully and happily with her family for years to come.

Throughout her training, I’ll focus on building a solid foundation of obedience, improving her impulse control, developing dependable off-leash communication, and teaching her to make better decisions in everyday situations.

Most importantly, I’ll work toward creating lasting results that her family can continue to reinforce when she returns home.

🐾 BLU — SIX MONTHS OLD AND ALREADY SOMETHING SPECIAL! 🐾

Watching BLU, this incredible young Cane Corso, continue to grow and transform has been an absolute pleasure. It’s hard to believe this impressive boy is only six months old!

BLU isn’t what I would call a “high-speed” dog by any stretch of the imagination. But what he lacks in speed, he makes up for in something I value tremendously — CONSISTENCY!

He’s steady, willing to learn, and continues to make meaningful progress with every training session.

Great dogs aren’t always the fastest, flashiest, or most energetic. Sometimes, the ones that impress you most are the ones that simply show up, stay focused, and consistently get the job done.

BLU is proving that lesson every day.

Keep up the outstanding work, buddy! Your future is looking bright! 💪🐾

Please help me welcome TIPPY, a beautiful Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix from Weatherford, Texas, to the West Texas Dog Trainer Off-Leash Obedience Program!

This big BIG BIG girl comes from a wonderful, animal-loving family and enjoys life on a sprawling ranch surrounded by horses.

But ranch life presents some challenges! Tippy struggles with recall, digging, chewing furniture, jumping on people, leash manners, and, most concerning, chasing horses—a potentially dangerous behavior.

My mission is to build reliable obedience, establish clear boundaries, and give Tippy the skills she needs to safely navigate ranch life while making Mom and Dad proud!

She’s a BIG girl with an even bigger personality, and I can already see the incredible dog underneath it all!

Please join me in welcoming NIKO, a handsome 6-month-old German Shepherd from Aledo, Texas, to the West Texas Dog Trainer Off-Leash Obedience Program!

Niko comes from a wonderful, loving family who recognizes the importance of establishing good habits and addressing behavioral challenges while he’s still young.

Like many energetic young German Shepherds, Niko is full of personality and enthusiasm! His family is looking for help with excessive energy, difficulty settling, play biting, jumping on furniture, digging, separation anxiety, and becoming easily stressed.

At this stage, Niko simply needs structure, clear boundaries, consistent leadership, and a solid foundation in obedience.

My goal is to help Niko develop confidence, self-control, and reliable obedience while providing his family with the knowledge and tools to continue his success at home.

I see tremendous potential in this young German Shepherd, and I’m excited to help shape him into the calm, confident, well-mannered companion his family deserves.
