Okay, this is definitely the end of the season! This is Matilda, first time Momma and very flighty! She showed no interest in nursing her little girl this morning, so I gave her 4 oz. of colostrum we had on hand. Then I took Ariel (our 1st bottle fed girl of this season )and put the two together in a pen while I did milk deliveries. When I got back, I fed the two some milk and heard Matilda crying out, so I put her baby back in with her and she was content! Will still keep an eye out on her since it is cold. Just wished we could catch Matilda to pull her and baby in a warmer small stall!

So the GRAND TOTAL IS.....12 Does ( girls) and 7 Bucklings ( boys)

I took advantage of a very nice day today! Planted some Golden, Red, Russet, Idaho potatoes. Hope to get a few more varieties soon. Then I did beets, carrots and spinach! More to plant as the months get warmer....
Only 1/4 of this garden bed done and still more to do!
I plan on trying to plant again in a few weeks so we can get an early start but have lots of vegetables on hand all season long! We shall see what transpires!
Also, a BIG THANK YOU to our neighbor for tilling this up!

I believe its finally come to the end of baby goat kids!
This is Hyacinth who is a sister to Lotus. She had twin girls this morning between 7- 12 ...her girls look so much like their Momma! She is very protective of these 2 for now!

They seem to be arriving two by two ( boy and girl! Lotus looks so relieved to have them by now!
They both are so fluffy and cuddly!

Its been a very busy few days! Venus decided to join the party with her twins! A Doeling and Buckling!

Its becoming crowded in our large corner pen inside the animal shed! We already have the 2 mommas and kids in a large outside pen. Hopefully, weather will stay warm so we can move them all back into the outside pen that has an awning!

About 3 more Mommas to go! To be continued.....

Another set of triplets! 2 doelings and 1 Buckling! There was a race as to who would arrive first...doeling was first with big buckling who arrived 5 minutes behind her! As for the last doeling, Momma had to do some cleaning of the first 2 before they met lil sister! Daffodils is such a good Momma!
Total so far...7 Doelings and 5 Bucklings...we are down to 4 left!
