💛 Golden Goodbye: Ophelia 💛

Ophelia — 12½ years of sweetness, loyalty, and being so very loved.

From the very beginning, Ophelia’s family knew she was special. As their family grew, she remained right there in the middle of it all — included in every adventure, every camping trip, and all the little moments that made their family a family. She was truly a priority, and it was clear how deeply she was adored.

Ophelia was a shy girl at the clinic and it wasn’t easy for her to trust us, but she did. Even after her family moved two and a half hours away, they continued making that long drive to see us because she felt safe and comfortable here. And to us, earning the trust of a dog like Ophelia was something very special.

We are grateful that her final adventure was exactly doing what she loved — camping, swimming, chasing squirrels and begging for toddler scraps, surrounded by her people. She was tucked in, kissed and told how she was loved so. She passed peacefully in her sleep, cuddled in with the family who loved her so completely.

Sweet Ophelia, you were deeply loved, you were safe, and you left in your own way. You will be missed more than words can say. 💛

💛 Golden Goodbye 💛

Today, we’re remembering a very special little girl who has been part of the Golden family since the very beginning — sweet CiCi. 🐾💛

CiCi was a Shih Tzu mix with the cutest underbite, the sweetest personality, and a way of making everyone smile. She was always so excited to come through our doors, and seeing her happy little face was something our whole team looked forward to.

Over the past year, CiCi faced some difficult challenges, including changes to her eyesight and other ongoing health concerns. Through it all, she was such a little trooper. Her family loved her fiercely and were incredibly dedicated to giving her the very best care every step of the way.

From her yearly dentals to all the little visits in between, CiCi became such a familiar and beloved face at Golden. She wasn’t just a patient — she was one of ours.
We are so grateful we had the privilege of caring for CiCi these last 6.5 years since our doors opened, and we will miss her sweet face, her adorable underbite, and her excited little visits.

Run free, sweet CiCi. 🌈🐾
You will always be part of the Golden family. 💛

💛 Golden Heartbeat ~ Buddy🐾

This week, we’re celebrating one of our favorite frequent flyers ~ Buddy!

Buddy is a 9-year-old Goldendoodle who has been bringing joy to his family ever since they welcomed him home as the very first addition to their family. Full of energy, love, and plenty of personality, Buddy isn’t shy about making new friends or soaking up all the affection he can get.

At home, Buddy is a wonderful big brother to his Cavalier sibling, Eddie, and to his two younger human siblings. His gentle heart and playful spirit have made him a beloved part of the family, and it’s easy to see why.

Here at Golden Veterinary Care, Buddy is always excited to stop by and say hello. As one of our regular visitors, he’s become a familiar face around the clinic, and his happy personality never fails to brighten our day. We always look forward to seeing that wagging tail come through the door!

Thank you, Buddy, for bringing so many smiles to our team over the years. We’re so grateful to be a small part of your life and can’t wait to see you again soon! 🐾 🩵

HELP NEEDED 🐈 🚨‼️
One of our clients passed away suddenly last week which left her 4 cat babies homeless. Just so heartbreaking, her cats were her whole life! Two have found homes, looking for a home for the last two urgently.
Morris 8yr old (medium haired orange tabby) and Milly 4 yr old (black and white short haired). Both very chill.
We are urgently looking for a temporary place before tomorrow until we can find a permanent home for them. Please reach out to us if you are able to help.

Gracie is a 4 year old chihuahua mix who sadly got out of the backyard Sunday PM and has not been seen since.
Last known location is in Apple Valley off 140th street.

Please keep and eye out for her and let us know ASAP if there’s any sightings. Let’s try to get Gracie home 💙
