We are a private, non-profit, no-kill 501c3 animal shelter serving Southern Franklin County since 1973. We receive no funding from state or local government for all the necessary services we provide, so we rely exclusively on donations from our generous supporters. For 2022, we have maintained a save rate of 94% for all animals that have come into our care. We have done this through TNVR of community cats, providing a pet food pantry for those most in need, offering behavioral consultation to pet parents, and growing our foster network, especially for kittens who are often too young to survive in a shelter environment. We thank you for your support in our mission to promote the well-being of animals and our community through education, care, adoption, and outreach.

Happy Friday!❤️
We want to give a HUGE thank you to the Groom Room 2.0! This week they took 4 of our furry friends for a very special spa day. Our friends at the Groom Room 2.0 are also hosting a class for HCC students to teach them how to groom! Not only are they helping these fur babies get the make over they deserve, but they are helping them find their forever families! We are so grateful for all of the love these furry friends got on their doggy day out! 🐾🐶

🚨Thursday Spotlight!🚨
Meet Brinley!
Brinley came to us in September 2026 when she was found as a stray. This smart girl is searching for her forever family!
Brinley is an energetic pup who will need an active house to keep up with her. She is a very sweet girl who is treat motivated. Brinley walks very well on a leash, and she loves going on adventures. This intelligent girl knows words like "sit" and "lay", but she is still learning more commands! She still has a lot of puppy energy in her, and she loves being able to get out her zoomies. We haven't extensively seen how she is with cats or dogs, but dog meet and greets are required. If you think this beautiful girl is the one for you, you can put in an application today!
She is 10 months old, 25lbs and growing, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

🚨Tuesday Spotlight!🚨
Meet Daisy! ❤️
Daisy came to us in July 2026 when she was found on our front porch. This sweet girl is searching for her forever home!
Daisy is a quiet girl who likes to stay by your side. She walks well on a leash and likes being able to sniff everything. Daisy has the typical shiba personality, and she really likes to play with stuffy toys. She can be a little shy at first when introduced to new things. Daisy has previously lived with other dogs, but meet and greets are required. We haven't seen how she is around cats yet. If she sounds like the girl for you, you can put in an application today!
She is 2 years old, 24lbs, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

🚨Tuesday Spotlight!🚨
Meet Cat!
Pretty-Cat came to us in October 2022 making her one of our longest term residents! This girl was not adjusting well to the shelter environment and now that she has begun to come out of her shell she is ready to find a home to call her own!
Cat is a very independent girl and likes being able to do things on her own terms. She previously lived in a home with only one person and would not do well in a home with other animals. When she has opened up to you, Cat is a very sweet girl who likes head pets and ear scratches. She would love to find a home with plenty of high places for her to snooze in and maybe a couple of well placed windows where she can watch the world go by while sunbathing. While she does not enjoy being picked up and had to be the one to decide when she gets attention, Cat has plenty of love to go around.
She has become more and more playful as the days pass and is truly blossoming into a wonderful cat! As she is on the more independent side, Cat does not always seek out or want attention at all times. A home that is low energy would suit her just fine as long as she has plenty of things to explore and comfy spots to snooze.
If you are willing to welcome a cat who needs a little extra TLC to your home, stop by and meet Cat today!

Cat is 6 years old, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
