Hi, all of my former clients..
So many of you know my sweet mom….the other face behind Mutt Cuts, my biggest supporter, my partner, and the person who helped me build this little business from the very beginning. She was there when Mutt Cuts started, and she stayed by my side all the way until the very end, when I closed my doors so I could put everything I had into taking care of her.
Many of you also followed along through her cancer journey. You prayed for her, checked on us, encouraged us, helped us, and gave our family so much hope and love when we needed it most. I will never be able to thank you enough for that.
Yesterday, I lost my mom to cancer. 💔
But while my heart is completely shattered, I know she gained the ultimate victory…she is finally home in Heaven, free from the pain and the fight her body endured for so long.
So many people have asked me if I’ll ever start grooming again.
Right now, my answer is no. And honestly, I don’t know if that will ever change.
Mutt Cuts was never just a business to me. It was something my mom and I built together. We were supposed to be groomers together. We were supposed to work side by side. She was supposed to be my sidekick while I raised my daughter, homeschooled her, and continued running the business we dreamed about together.
I pictured so many years of us doing this together.
I don’t know how I could ever pick up those clippers again and not look for her beside me. I don’t know how I could stand in a grooming space and not feel the enormous hole where she is supposed to be.
For now, I need to let Mutt Cuts remain what it was….something beautiful that my mom and I created together. Something I will forever be proud of. Something that will always belong to both of us.
Along with her, I lost a piece of myself and the future I thought we still had together.
But I will carry her, and everything we built together, for the rest of my life.
Thank you to everyone, for loving loving my mom.
