🐾 Lead Trainer Kassi here! 🐾

First, I want to sincerely thank you for taking the time to visit and support our page. Whether you’re here out of curiosity, looking for guidance, or searching for the right trainer for your dog, it truly means a lot to us.

I wanted to take a moment to share more about what LeashCraft stands for, along with the values and goals that shape the way we work with every dog that comes through our doors.

Here at LeashCraft, your dogs are never treated as “just clients.” They are treated like family. Every dog deserves patience, understanding, kindness, and the opportunity to simply be a dog while they learn. Training should never take away a dog’s personality — it should help guide it in the right direction.

We believe every dog is unique. Some are energetic and wild, some are sensitive and unsure, and some are confident enough to test every boundary imaginable. We love every personality that comes with them. Our goal is not to create robotic dogs, but well-mannered companions that still get to be themselves.

At LeashCraft, we focus on building structure, communication, and trust between dogs and their owners. That overly excited puppy who counter-surfs, pulls on the leash, steals socks, dives into the garbage, or struggles to settle down? They can absolutely learn better habits and clearer boundaries — while still remaining the same happy, loving dog you know at heart.

We take pride in making sure every dog comes in feeling safe and leaves feeling the same way. A dog that arrives healthy, happy, and cared for will return home healthy, happy, and cared for. Their wellbeing, both physically and emotionally, matters deeply to us.

Our training philosophy is rooted in guidance, consistency, and fairness. We never want fear to be the foundation of learning. Instead, we believe in teaching through clear communication, positive experiences, accountability, and compassion. Dogs thrive when they understand what is expected of them and feel secure in the process.

At the end of the day, this is about more than obedience. It’s about helping owners better understand their dogs, helping dogs better navigate the world around them, and creating stronger relationships built on trust and respect.

Your dogs are in loving, capable hands here at LeashCraft, and we welcome every pup as if they were one of our own 💛🐾

🐾 Mealtime is training time, too 🐾

Something as simple as asking a puppy to hold a sit before eating can help build patience, impulse control, and focus. These small moments add up and create better habits over time 💛

Training isn’t just about commands — it’s about communication, structure, and teaching dogs how to make good choices.

Proud of this pup for learning to slow down and wait patiently 🐶🍽️

Does your dog wait for permission before eating, or do they dive right in? 👀🐾

🐾 Real-World Training with Axel & Sterling 🐾

Today we took Axel and Sterling out to the Modded Detroit car show — over 20 acres, packed with cars, noise, and people.

This is where training really gets put to the test.

Axel handled it like a pro, staying calm and focused through all the distractions.

Sterling, on the other hand, had her first major experience walking in a setting like this — and she took it all in stride. New environment, new sounds, lots of stimulation… and still learning how to move through it all with guidance and structure.

This is what training is really about:
Not just commands at home — but confidence, clarity, and behavior in the real world.

Environments like this are where dogs learn how to handle life, not just lessons.

Proud of both of them 🐕‍🦺🐾

⚠️Consultations are now free of charge⚠️

LeashCraft is currently accepting one dog for training.

This spot will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Once filled, we might reserve the next available opening.

Spots are intentionally limited to ensure each dog receives the time, structure, and attention they need.

All training begins with a consultation and meet-and-greet to build a clear, structured plan for you and your dog.

Working on recall so freedom can be earned 🐾

Training isn’t just about commands — it’s about building reliability and trust. As recall improves, we can safely introduce more off-leash freedom.

We also make sure to give them time to play, explore, and just be a puppy in between. That balance is important.

What you build now shows later. Socialization, structure, and consistency all play a big role in how a dog develops.

What’s one thing you’re currently working on with your dog? 👇

🐾 So Your Puppy Is Potty Trained… Now What? 🐾

Potty training is a huge milestone — but it’s just the beginning.

Once your puppy understands where to go, the next step is teaching them how to live in your home calmly and confidently.

That means introducing:

✔ Structure and routine
✔ Basic obedience (sit, down, place)
✔ Leash manners
✔ Crate confidence
✔ Boundaries inside the house

Potty training teaches location.
The next phase teaches behavior.

This is where many owners get stuck — because a puppy who is house-trained but unstructured can still create chaos.

The goal isn’t just a dog that doesn’t have accidents.
The goal is a dog that understands expectations and feels confident following them.

Structure builds clarity. Clarity builds confidence.

Meet Axel 🐺

People often say Huskies can’t be trusted off leash, but with time, patience, and structure, they can absolutely learn. Axel has put in the work, and it shows.

Here he is relaxing and calmly walking around the front yard with no fence and no leash — just trust, consistency, and clear communication. Moments like this are earned, not rushed.

At one point, Axel made his way over to the front door on his own. Before going inside, we asked for a calm sit first. Taking that extra moment helps reinforce structure and keeps the mindset steady, even when something exciting like going back inside is happening.

Good boy, Axel 🐾

Has your dog earned this level of freedom yet, or is that something you’re working toward? 👇

🐾 Puppy Potty Training: Setting Them Up for Success 🐾

Potty training is one of the first big steps in building structure for a puppy — and consistency is everything.

At this age, puppies don’t yet have full control, so accidents are part of the process. The key is helping them learn where and when it’s appropriate to go through clear routines and positive reinforcement.

A few things that make a big difference:
✔ Taking them out frequently (after eating, sleeping, and playing)
✔ Using the same potty spot to build association
✔ Praising immediately when they go outside
✔ Keeping a consistent schedule
✔ Watching for signals like sniffing, circling, or restlessness

The goal isn’t just fewer accidents — it’s helping your puppy understand the routine and feel confident about where they should go.

Patience, timing, and consistency go a long way in building good habits early.

🐾 What “Training With Purpose” Really Means 🐾

At LeashCraft, training isn’t about quick fixes or control — it’s about clarity.

Dogs thrive when expectations are clear, leadership is calm, and structure is consistent. Purposeful training gives dogs direction without taking away who they are. In fact, structure often brings out the best in them.

Whether you’re working with a high-energy puppy, an adult dog that needs guidance, or a dog struggling with behavior challenges, the goal is always the same:
to help your dog understand what’s expected so they can feel confident and successful.

Training with purpose means:
✔ Clear communication
✔ Fair, calm guidance
✔ Foundations that last beyond the training sessions

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or unsure where to start — you’re not alone. And you don’t need more chaos. You need clarity.
