Is winter finally coming to an end? Some of our staff’s pets made the most of this extra snowy season.

We wanted to let clients know that we will be closed this coming Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so that our staff can enjoy time with their family and friends over the holiday. Please remember to keep your pets away from table scraps to avoid unplanned trips to one of the local emergency clinics. However, if your pet needs urgent care, Blue Pearl in Framingham and Boston West in Natick will be open 24 hours a day. Please visit our website for more local resources. Happy Thanksgiving!

Our cover photo this week is of Jane Goodall. For those who don’t know of her, she was a remarkably brave, remarkably smart, and endlessly patient woman who studied the behavior of chimpanzees in Tanzania over many years. Her work gave the world a far deeper understanding of the complex social lives of animals and she fought endlessly speaking far and wide about protecting natural habitats and inspiring hope and passion in many young people. I was one of those young girls who discovered her long ago, and although I was never quite brave enough to tromp into the jungle, she is most certainly the biggest reason I am here in Wayland caring for your pets. This is my nod to Jane, who passed away today at the age of 91. Thank you for making the world a more beautiful place. Cheers ❤️- Dr Pinsky
