Meet Obi!
This sweet Mini Aussie is joining us for a 6-week board and train to work through some fearful, reactive behaviors. Like many dogs who struggle in certain environments, Obi isn’t acting out to be “bad”—he’s responding to stress the only way he knows how.

Our goal with Obi isn’t just to “fix” behaviors but to help him feel more safe and secure in his world. Over the next several weeks, we’ll be building trust, giving him space to decompress, and helping him learn how to navigate life with a little more confidence.

We’re so excited to see where this journey takes him 💚🐾

We’re seeing a dangerous trend, and we want to help.

Lately, more owners are coming to us after serious incidents—being bitten, breaking up fights, or, in some heartbreaking cases, losing a dog to another dog in their home. In almost every situation, the warning signs were there, but they were missed or misunderstood.

Dogs are always communicating, but if you don’t know what to look for, it’s easy to miss the small signs that things are building. A stiff posture. A lingering stare. A moment of hesitation. These subtle cues can tell you so much about what your dog is feeling before things escalate.

That’s why we do what we do. We want to help owners truly understand their dogs, prevent miscommunication, and create safer relationships. If something feels off, or if you just want to be sure you’re reading your dog correctly, reach out. We’re here to help 💚🐾

So, you just got a puppy…

You’re excited to dive into obedience training, right? Sit, down, recall, crate, place, heel—the whole nine yards. But what if I told you that obedience can wait? What if I told you it’s more important to focus on mindset and behavior first?

Here’s the thing: puppies need boundaries more than they need “sit” right now. They don’t naturally know how to settle or relax—that’s something we have to teach them. They also need regular nap times throughout the day to prevent overstimulation (because overtired puppies = chaos).

And here’s the kicker: treat your puppy like the adult dog you want them to become.

❌ Don’t want an 80lb dog jumping all over you? Don’t let your puppy jump now.
❌ Don’t want your adult dog pulling you on the leash? Teach your puppy how to follow you from the start.
❌ Don’t want your dog begging at the dinner table? Don’t feed them human food as a puppy.

Habits formed now—good or bad—stick with them as they grow. And breaking bad habits in an adult dog? It’s much harder than preventing them in a puppy.

So, before you dive into obedience, focus on the bigger picture: boundaries, calmness, and building a solid foundation. Obedience can happen at any age, but the habits you shape now will last a lifetime.

Are you ready to start your puppy off on the right paw? 🐾 Let’s talk!
