After a 6 year fight with epilepsy and having more time than we expected we said goodbye to baby Rooka (Luka) today. Such a sweet and beautiful soul. I’m so thankful we sent him straight to Harley who was his surrogate dog mommy his whole life. 💜🐾

Luka brought so much joy into the most mundane moments of life just by giving a collie head tilt to me saying “hi! Good morning! Hi buddy!” on speaker phone. He brought Hannah’s parents so much joy and love and was always right on their heels! He adventured with them until his meds made him weak and then he kept his mom company until his daddy would return. Him joining our family signified the closing of a different chapter and allowed so many new ones to come! Harley and Luka were besties and it gives me great peace knowing he is running free tonight with Harley in a strong body free of epilepsy and free of the damage the meds side effects made. We will miss you Luka! So much!! 💜🐾

Rest easy buddy 🌈🫂🪽

There was no other place I would be than snuggling him in his final hours/moments. I walked in the door this evening and our eyes met and I knew he was ready. There is so much peace when you see they’re ready. Thank you Luka for waiting for us to get up here 🫂❤️‍🩹🐾

Today was my first full session with the yellow lab crew. They may look a little familiar… the 3 in the front are all related to Max! I’ll be spending a couple hours working with these girls several days a week working on health, strength, and so much more. Today we did a lot of impulse control work and for the young girls I really pushed them! I am so excited to see where we can help take them and what we can help their mom and them accomplish! You’ll be seeing a good amount of these faces around so be sure to keep an eye out 🥰💜🐾

Last weekend Pudge and I stepped back into the ring after taking a couple months off, her going through her first heat, and us letting showing take the backseat. We put in the reps, the prep, and we still have plenty of ways to go but she did so many good things! On top of showing we entered our very first specialty. It was a little intimidating seeing the program that we had 50+ dogs in breed for the all breed show those two days and 60+ in the specialty. Leading up to the show Pudge and I focused on clear free stacks, hand stacking for the judging, and standing still/focused. The first two days wiggle butt struggled a bit so we drilled it multiple sessions each evening and on our day off practiced leading into the specialty. Pudge blew me away! After our first evening of the specialty I was pumped to go into Sunday. Sunday am disaster struck and my belt wasn’t tight enough and my pants being a little too big having to grab them so they didn’t fall on our around threw me off completely. I walked to a quiet spot and sat and as I cried that I failed her little Pudge jumped right in. She actively interrupted and distracted me and responded without prompting. I cried more but happy tears that those couple months off of showing were 1000% worth it for her service work!! We calmed down & returned to finish watching our breed. Sunday evening after taking 2nd to the other class bitch all weekend Pudge finally shined her way through! When he asked me to move I was confused and when I realized what Mr Giuliani was doing tears welled in my eyes. Our little Pudge had done it! We celebrated with butt tuck zoomies and her trying to steal her ribbon as we continued to cheer on every other dog/human team competing. Thank you Judge Claudio de Giuliani for putting up our little chaos queen! 💜🐾

A lesson I teach anyone who asks about tips for conformation is… Congratulate every winner in your class, in winners, in breed, & beyond whether if your dog beats them or gets dumped because you may be the only person that does…. Thankfully I was so proud of Pudge that the poor sportsmanship didn’t dampen my joy! If you step into the ring one day…. Be the one!💜🐾

One of the last experiences I prepare my program dogs for (that it is relevant for) is church. Why..? Religious Institutions are not required to follow ADA. Meaning my dog isn’t protected and there is little room for error. Yes, they have to learn/practice but my goal is to prep them to handle it with little effort. That’s what Magic showed today. She went to church for the first time and did so well! One small mistake that was swiftly corrected and not repeated. She settled well with the music, relaxed during the sermon, and I know next time she will know exactly what is expected. She did well ignoring people and settling for a longer period of time in this style space. A few more weeks for sure at pineville before she will be ready to try elevation but that’s why we start here…. The church I grew up in where many people know me and we have been welcomed with the pups so far 💜🐾

Magic then accompanied me to lunch with my parents, to Petco to grab dog food, & then we walked through HomeGoods pet section 🤣😂 Magic was nice and tired by the time we got home. Church is a hard thing for many reasons but I will always make the most of it when my job brings me back in the door. Stay tuned for more Magic content as she is entering the final stage of training before placement 🥹🥹

Happy 3 weeks to the Jelly Beans! They are growing like weeds, have tasted mush, & are interacting with their toys more & more! This past week everyone’s eyes finished opening & their ears opened so they’re now responding to sounds too! 💜

We have 1 male and 3 females available and if they’re anything like their half brother and the rest of Cinder’s first litter they will be so amazing!!! 🥰💜🐾

Contact me or Alexie today! 💜💜

After supporting Anna & at their first fundraiser towards Pearl’s successor we grabbed dinner all together. Well, I decided to take Gus in & of course he did amazing! He slept through most of the meal, settled beautifully, & even got up & alerted at the end. He is such a good boy & it thoroughly impressed me the number of times Hannah, Virginia, & Anna all forgot he was there with us 😂🤣💜🐾🥹

Introducing the “Jelly Beans”🫘 the CinderXLevi litter made their entrance into the world on Saturday after almost a week of Cinder dramatically gushing little puddles of birthing fluid. An extra vet check on everyone Wednesday & we were essentially told she was so packed with puppies that all the excess fluid they typically have around the sacks was coming out because she literally had run out of room. Well on Saturday we learned why…. After a vet xray that estimated 7-9 (which I suspected some puppies were hiding on when I first saw it based on her size) we welcomed Cinder’s bakers dozen of 12 healthy babies (& 1 sweet angel baby👼🏻) into the world. She championed through an active labor time of just over 5 hours. We asked Cinder to flip the script from her last litter & to give us some extra girls….. well…. She delivered!! 7 girls, 5 boys!! Within a matter of 24 hours we only have 2 available girls out of this litter. 😱🥰

Once again Alexie & Will went above and beyond in every way even as they welcomed me into their home for the week to await the jellyfish beans arrival. We took shifts watching Cinder so Alexie could get some sleep or get out of the house without having to worry & on Saturday Alexie & I helped Cinder deliver these beautiful blessings! I have had breeders near me unwilling to share these experiences in the past but Alexie & Will welcomed me into the whole process! It was such a beautiful thing at the end sitting there watching Cinder mother those babies. 💜🐾 We can’t wait to watch them grow & thrive! Be sure to send good thoughts & prayers for these babies to keep gaining & thriving!! And I can’t wait to see them again in person in about 8 weeks 😍🥹 Stay tuned for updates & if you’re looking for a great pup contact me or Alexie for more info 💜🐾
