Sometimes you have to do things you really don't want to do, going to the dentist is pretty high on that don't want to list. Several months ago I broke a tooth off at the gum line not an ideal situation, but it didn't hurt, and we had a cruise coming up so I put off going to the dentist until we got back. Yesterday Dixie decided now was the time to schedule an appointment, so a quick google search and looky here we have a dentist in Ovilla! I'm thinking cool, I'll call and it will be 6 weeks before they can see me and I can get mentally prepared to be tortured, but imagine my surprise when she says we can see you tomorrow at 1:00 holy moly I was in such shock that I heard myself agreeing, then realizing that's less than 24 hours, mild panic starts to set in. Now my experience with dentist has not been especially pleasant, I've two teeth knocked out in two separate accidents work related and a front tooth broke off in a skiing incident, so my expectations are not high. Let me tell you about Ovilla Family Dental, I walked through the door and was greeted by name by the receptionist, very cheerful and friendly. She gave me a clipboard and some laminated papers to fill out since this is my first time. First thing you will notice is the place is really really nice, large canvas photos on the wall of people, maybe family maybe customers I don't know, but it gives you the feeling of not being at a dentist, so far so good. Filled out the required paperwork and turned it in to Miss Happy and she says have a seat and we'll be with you in a few, I didn't realize she was talking seconds my butt didn't have time to make an impression on the sofa before I'm being escorted off to the torture chamber, again the place is really nice laminated floors nice music I'm thinking they're just lulling me into a false sense of security, Again super nice assistant, small talk, explained exactly what she's doing, took X-rays, pictures and said the Doctor will be here in a few, again two seconds later there she is, introduced herself as Bethany Sharpe, she looks younger than my daughter, I'm scared but I don't let on. They put my X-ray up on the tv screen and show me what's going on and what my options are. They give me a cost in writing and within a few minutes we're on our way to having one less broken tooth. It's important to note I had no pain, none, nada, zip. Dr. Sharpe was amazing, if you need a dentist I can't recommend Ovilla Family Dentistry enough We are customers for life. ❤️❤️❤️
