🚨IMPORTANT POLICY UPDATE🚨

As always, maintaining a clean and safe environment for every pet in my care is one of my top priorities.
While fleas and ticks can happen to even the most well-loved pets, decisions regarding flea and tick prevention are left to each individual pet owner. However, those choices can impact other pets and grooming appointments if situations aren't communicated and navigated appropriately.

Although I take every precaution possible to prevent the spread of parasites within the salon, I operate in a one-room setting and cannot simply contain the issue to one area while continuing business as usual. That said, severe infestations may require extensive cleaning measures and, in some cases rescheduling the remainder of my appointments for the day to properly address the issue and protect other clients.

Effective immediately, if fleas and/or ticks are discovered during your pet's appointment, the following fees may apply:
• Flea & Tick Shampoo: $10–$25 (depending on your dog's size and product usage)
• Salon Treatment & Cleaning Fee: Up to $75, depending on the severity of the infestation and the level of treatment required

Please understand that these fees are not intended to shame or punish anyone. They simply help cover the additional time, products, labor, and potential business interruption required to maintain a safe environment for everyone.
*As always, if your pet is currently dealing with fleas, I am happy to assist with treatment. However, informing me at the time of booking is imperative so that I can schedule your appointment accordingly.*

The barter system is making a comeback and I’m here for it!

We can all agree the economy is a little scary right now, right?

If dog grooming isn’t in your budget right now, the last thing I want to see is your dog going without the care they need.

Here are some things I would gladly consider as payment:

●Car detailing- my interior is DESPERATE
●Body care services- massage, hair care, waxing, brows, etc.
●I’d say nails & pedis, but I’ve already got the best for that 😜 go see my babies at Love Thy Nails with Melanie
●Landscaping (emphasis on tree removal)
●Construction work
●Tattoos

Talk about a transformation 🤩

Now THIS is why before and after photos are so much fun!

Charlie came in with an extra 100 lbs of fur and left looking like a whole new dog. ✨️

This is your reminder that your dog doesn't need 5 inches of hair to be cute! A good haircut helps restore shape, balance, and definition while still keeping them absolutely adorable. 🥰

Needless to say, I'm a little obsessed with this transformation.

A Quick Update for My Clients 🐾

Unfortunately, I've fractured my thumb. 🙃
Not exactly ideal when you run a small business by yourself.. And definitely not when your job IS your hands 🙃.. BUT, THE SHOW GOES ON!

At this time, I am still planning to work and care for your pups, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up that appointment timing will likely be longer and may vary more than usual while I heal.

Because my mobility is currently compromised, some appointments may need to be adjusted on a case-by-case basis. This will most likely affect:
• Dogs with behavioral concerns
• XL breeds
• Dogs requiring extensive handling or longer grooming times

If your appointment falls into one of those categories, I will reach out directly if any changes need to be made.

For everyone else, I simply ask for a little extra patience, understanding, and kindness over the next few weeks. My goal is still to provide the same quality of care and grooming that you expect from me, but I may need to work at a slower pace while my thumb heals.

Thank you all for your support and understanding while I work through this. Hopefully I'll be back to 100% sooner rather than later. ❤️

A huge congratulations to Beth on completing her 1:1 Hand Stripping Workshop!

Beth is a fellow groomer with over 20 years in the industry who came ready to learn and expand her skill set. It takes a lot to put yourself back in the student seat after decades behind the table, and she's been locking in over the last year and is absolutely crushing it!
During our session, we focused on making hand stripping realistic for a salon environment. We covered how to work efficiently without sacrificing coat quality, texture, or proper technique; and set her up with the knowledge and confidence to start offering this service to pet clients in an everyday salon setting.

One of my favorite parts of education is seeing groomers at every stage of their career come together with the same goal: to keep learning, improving, and raise the bar for our industry as a whole!
Whether you've been grooming for 6 months or 20 years, there's always something new to learn and another way to refine your craft.

We're bringing hand stripping back into our industry one groomer at a time, and Beth is proof that it's never too late to step up your game and add another skill to your toolbox.

I still have some SOOTHE 3% Chlorhexidine Spray in stock from my open house and it works great to help calm irritated, itchy skin, hot spots, and even odor caused by allergies and skin issues.
