Hargis Ranch

I love how deep sided this female is. She’s nice and stout on her back end, but very feminine in her head shape down into her neckline. Shes another one coming from our young female herd out of a Hargis cow. She will be getting dehorned in the next couple of weeks and rolled back into our replacement herd.

I thought I’d share a few more spring calves in the pasture before we wean them. This particular pair deserves a brag. This bull calf is out of 1 of our first-calf heifers! He’s pulling on her pretty hard along with the drought being against us on her condition, but I’ll take pairs like this all day long.

We had a great time in Kansas this past week. Nextgen always hosts a good time… and it was nice to go somewhere with cool weather and rain! The sale went great and the bulls had a great sale average, you really couldn’t ask for much more than that. We always appreciate the Nextgen team for taking care of everything like they do and as always we want to Thank everyone who supports us and purchases our bulls.

Video of our Lot 122 selling September 25th at Nextgens Fall Classic Sale. I can’t wait to see this guy in person. He’s just so well put together. Pair him with females that have a lil more bone and I think you’re going to get an awesome outcome. For info of all the offerings in the sale, view this link https://www.nextgencattle.com/ng-production-sales/?fbclid=IwVERDUAUPkJlwZG9mAWZkaWQWUOKSkOwYXovZ7yUruh7qdzjpL8cv7GV4dG4DYWVtAjEwAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkCjY2Mjg1NjgzNzkAAR4I0bWMRb19c1teD2LPQdbWK_jh79wR2Zl6L3-DfP3StEzErXQh5GNVocozgA_aem_pojAUDhDlaqLD3uJ0IVS8g

We have several brindles in the Nextgens Classic Fall Sale coming up in a couple of weeks. Considering his sires age, we made the decision to retire the sire after last breeding season, so the bull calves out of fmc 6717 will be the last direct offerings of his. FMC 6717 has had many bull calves in select performance sales along with providing us with multiple replacement females.

This Hargis dam has given us a good calf every year. She’s so reliable on that no matter what sire we pair her with! Here’s another solid spring heifer out of her. Shes got that dark desirable red color,a nice deep bodied frame, & good amount of bone. Shes going to make a great replacement female

I really like this spring bull calf. He’s part of the 1st set of offspring out of this sire we purchased and he’s paired on a Hargis Ranch dam of course. I’m excited to keep watching him grow until weaning in a couple months

Haven’t had 1 this color since his dam was born. I actually really like him though. He’s a lengthy, leggy one, but has the amount of bone we like on calves. I’m excited to watch this 1 grow into his body!
