From recycled bicycle spokes to stamped mason jar lids… this might be the most “Terra Growers” project we’ve done yet 🍎

Trying out a new orchard labeling system while continuing to expand and replant fruit trees across the farm.

A little chaotic. A little handmade. Exactly how we like it.

Fresh from the farm and officially kicking off the season at All Good Things 🌱🍯🐝

Our FIRST products of the year are finally here!

• Crisp organic romaine lettuce
• Fresh rhubarb (hello pies, crisps & jams)
• Beautiful 1-pint jars of honey from our bees — YES, the bees are officially back from California and hard at work again 🐝

And while the chickens are still negotiating the terms of their spring employment contracts… we are getting a few eggs here and there too 🥚😂

After a long Wisconsin winter, it feels pretty amazing to see the farm waking back up again. Stop by the farm store, stock up on the first harvests of the season, and say hello to spring with us.

Open daily, dawn to dusk.

🍄 FARM SURPRISE! 🍄

For the first time ever, we discovered MOREL MUSHROOMS growing right in our rhubarb patch here at Terra Growers Organic Farm. 🌱

After years of farming this land organically, it’s always exciting when nature decides to give you a little unexpected gift. Morels are one of the most sought-after wild mushrooms in the world, and spotting them on the farm honestly felt a little magical.

Needless to say, we were pretty excited when we found these beauties hiding among the rhubarb leaves. 👀

Just another reminder that healthy soil and a thriving ecosystem can produce some amazing surprises.

Have you ever found wild morels before? 🍄

“Just a black bird,” right?
Look closer.

This is a Common Grackle—and it’s basically a feathered oil slick with a laser-yellow stare and zero respect for personal space. In the sun, that “black” turns into deep blues and purples. In a group, they operate like a noisy little street crew. And yes… they’ve been known to dunk their food like they’re at a five-star restaurant.

Not rare. Not delicate. But wildly adaptable, a little chaotic, and way more interesting than it gets credit for.

We’re hoping to see one of these again soon…

Last year, our friend Dave captured this incredible shot of a Baltimore Oriole on the farm — one of the most striking (and elusive) birds in our area.

They’re not commonly seen here in this part of Wisconsin, which made the sighting even more special.

And their nests? Honestly, they’re architectural masterpieces. Orioles weave these long, hanging pouch nests that dangle from the ends of tree branches — designed to keep predators out and protect their young.

They’re also migratory, spending winters in Central and South America before making their way back north each spring. So if we’re lucky, they’ll be returning soon.

Dave helped us identify over 70 bird species on the farm last year, and this is easily one of the most unforgettable.

We’ll be sharing more of these sightings, photos, and stories with our subscribers all season long.

Our old gravel driveway had definitely seen better days… potholes, dust, and every winter the snowplow sent tons of gravel into the grass. 😬

Plus, it’s tough on the dogs’ paws—not that they’re complaining, but it wasn’t exactly paw-friendly. 🐾

We finally rebuilt it using recycled asphalt—durable, renewable, and way better for the environment. Less gravel, fewer trips, and a smoother ride for everyone (including the dogs)! 🌱♻️

Has anyone else tried recycled asphalt or other eco-friendly driveway options?
