This groomer speaks the truth. Matting charges aren’t meant as a punishment but rather to compensate the additional resources involved in getting your pet back in prime shape.

Dematting takes much more time, care, and physical work than many people realize 🪮🐾

Matted coats often require:
✨ extra brushing and prep work
✨ additional products and tools
✨ slower, safer handling
✨ more time during the appointment
✨ extra wear on blades and equipment

Severe matting can also pull tightly on the skin, trap moisture and debris, and make grooming uncomfortable for the dog.

Dematting fees are not meant as punishment — they help reflect the extra care, time, and effort required to safely work through heavily impacted coats 🤍

Regular brushing at home and routine grooming appointments help keep coats healthier, more comfortable, and easier to maintain ✨
