Week 3 ✅

I’m truly loving what I do 🥰
Some days this job takes me down quiet back roads, music on, just soaking in the scenery before I even arrive. It’s such a peaceful way to move through the day, and I don’t take that freedom for granted.

The next photo is me and my friend’s dog crammed into a shower together 😂
He’s a 135-lb Rottweiler. We are trading services, so I’m more than happy to work with their home setup. This is an occasional situation rather than a regular one, but it definitely made for a memorable moment. 🐾💛

2 weeks of house call ✅

It’s honestly wild to think it’s already been two full weeks of doing this on my own. I’ve learned so much in such a short amount of time, and I’m so grateful for the support, patience, and trust from all of you. This has been a big adjustment, but a really good one.

A little note to my clients: I will be switching booking software. I had high hopes for Groomer io, but turns out I am not a rocket scientist and need something a bit more user-friendly 😅 I’ll be transferring client info over to a new system over the next few weeks, so thank you in advance for your patience while I get things dialed in.

In other news, the barber backpack I bought is already ripping at the shoulder seams, so that’ll be getting replaced soon. Trial and error, right?

I also grabbed a new tarp this week for homes that are carpet-only, because I truly want to be respectful of your space and ready to adapt to any setup. Always learning, always improving, and always doing my best for you and your pups 🐾💛

First official week as a house call groomer in the books 🤩

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of my clients for welcoming me into their homes. It’s been such a wonderful experience, and I really love being able to bring the salon to all the pups. I’ve already seen major behavior improvement in dogs that were normally anxious, and that makes me so incredibly happy.

I’m so excited to continue, improve, and learn, and to be able to share this journey with all of you.

Some things I’ve learned this week:
• Set up and break down takes a lot longer than I expected
• Every home setup is different, so I’m learning what works best for each individual situation
• And while I thought I’d really love my foaming soap dispenser… turns out I might still be a dilution bottle girl 😂

Overall, I’m feeling very grateful and very excited for what’s ahead. Thank you for trusting me with your dogs and for supporting this new chapter. We’re just getting started 💛🐾
