Hi friends, it’s Hozier here 👋🐾

I’ve been doing really well in my foster home! I’ve learned that one of the best things in life is getting pets and cuddles — honestly, I think I could make it a full-time job.

Being outside is still my absolute favorite. I love running around, exploring, and playing with all my toys in the yard. I did discover that soccer balls might be slightly oversized for me… but that won’t stop me from trying. ⚽️😂

I also LOVE playing fetch. Throw the toy, I’ll chase it, and then we can debate whether I should actually give it back or not.

And the biggest update: I haven’t had a single accident in weeks, so my foster family says we can officially call me potty trained! 🎉

I’m just a happy guy looking for a forever home with plenty of love, outdoor time, and someone willing to give unlimited belly rubs. ❤️🐶

Hozier soaked up the warm weather today ☀️ though honestly, the cold doesn’t seem to bother him one bit—just no rain, please! He absolutely loves being outside and will happily play fetch… but don’t be surprised when it turns into a full game of tug-of-war instead of actually dropping the ball (see picture in comments 😄)

We’re not totally sure on his breed, but he definitely shows some herding tendencies—he’s especially interested in shoes, even when someone’s wearing them! Hozier is a total sweetheart who loves being pet and takes treats ever so gently 🐾

He’s still on the lookout for his forever home—one with a fenced yard would be a huge bonus for this outdoor-loving guy!

Hi, I’m Hozier… but my friends call me Hozy 🐾

I’ve been working really hard on being the best boy I can be—and guess what? I haven’t had a single accident in over TWO weeks (yes, I’m very proud of myself 😌).

My favorite things in the whole world:
• Running zoomies in the yard 🌿
• Playing fetch (I could do this forever, just saying) 🎾
• Going on walks and sniffing everything (I'm still working on not pulling too much on the leash) 🐕‍🦺

I’ve got a lot of energy (I've still got that puppy energy ⚡️), so I’d love a family that likes to stay active and have fun with me!

A few things to know about me:
• Thunderstorms are kinda scary… I like to hide in the master closet where it feels safe ⛈️
• My tummy is a little sensitive, so I do best with food that agrees with me 💛
• I’m also a professional napper—after all that playing, I need my beauty sleep 💤
• I can be a bit selective with other dogs, especially larger ones. They can be intimidating, so small to medium sized dogs would be great, or being an only-dog would fly, too
• Sometimes I can get overwhelmed and stressed in hectic situations (e.g. bunch of people coming over all at once to say hi). Older kids would probably be a better fit.

I’m a sweet, playful guy just looking for my forever home. If you’re ready for adventures, cuddles, and a loyal best friend… I might be your pup!

A note from my foster family: Hozier is very loving and loyal dog. He just needs patience, reassurance and a calm environment to build trust and confidence. We don't know much about his past, but he responds really well to gently but firmly deescalating a hectic situation. We are loud with our senior dog because of his hearing issues and Hozy will go and quietly sit in a corner 🤦

Meet Hozier 🐾💛

We’re excited to introduce our newest foster, Hozier! He’s been hanging with us for about a week now, and he’s already made himself right at home.

Hozier is a ~1-year-old rescue from Alabama. While his backstory is a bit of a mystery, it’s clear he’s lived in a home before. He had a couple accidents his first two days (new place, new rules 🤷‍♀️), but he’s been accident-free ever since—good boy!

Here’s what we’ve learned so far:
• Knows sit 🐕 and loves the car 🚗
• A bit of a picky eater, but when he likes a treat, he takes it very gently
• LOVES to play fetch and could be pet forever
• Big fan of running and playing outside → fenced yard recommended
• Does bark, so a house (not apartment) would be best
• Has a hilarious habit of stealing slippers (fashion icon behavior) 🥿

Hozier is playful, affectionate, and full of personality. He’s going to make an amazing companion for the right home—and we’re so happy to be part of his journey while he waits for it 🐶✨

Rooney’s Christmas wish was simple — a family. On Christmas Eve, it came true. 🎄
Seeing him curled up asleep in a sweater chosen by his new family reminds us that every dog deserves this kind of ending.

Hi everyone, Rooney here! 🐾❄️

I’ve been having such a fun time this holiday season. There are twinkly lights everywhere, new smells, and I’ve been getting braver at meeting new people! I even got to hang out with some kiddos the other day. They were playing football in the backyard, and WOW, that was exciting. I wasn’t totally sure of the rules, but I knew for sure I wanted to be part of the team. 🏈🐶

I’m also proud to report that I’m getting better at this whole potty training thing. My foster family says I’m a “good boy,” which I’m pretty sure means I’m nailing it. I still have some things to work on though—like taking treats gently. I just get so excited because, well… I really, really love food. Honestly, I love all snacks. And meals. And crumbs. And anything that might secretly be food.

I’m also discovering new favorites—like snow! I love bouncing around in it and sticking my nose right in the fluffy stuff. After that, of course, I have to drink a bunch of water… and then accidentally splash half of it onto the floor. Oops. 💦😅

Oh! And toys. Don’t even get me started on toys. Squeaky ones, crinkly ones, bouncy ones—I adore them all.

Anyway, I’m having the best time learning, growing, and enjoying all the little things. Thanks for following along on my foster adventure, time to take a nap on the recliner! 🐩❤️

Rooney is absolutely loving the snow day! After being rescued from a hard life at a breeding farm in Alabama, he’s now having a blast with his foster family. All he needs next is his forever home!

Rooney Fast Facts:
Breed: Poodle
Age: ~1 year
Personality: Shy and hesitant at first, but goofy and playful—especially with other dogs. Loves food and is a little clumsy for how tall he is.
Potty Trained: Not yet, but he’s working on it.
Dislikes: Going outside by himself and being separated from his doggie friends.

Rooney cuddles! He’s about a year old, full of love, energy, and just enough mischief to keep me laughing. He loves pets, food, toys, and other dogs. Rooney (our big goofy foster puppy who still thinks he’s the size of a chihuahua) has been doing great. 🐶💛

Rooney is all about the toys—he’s recently discovered the toy box and now treats it like his personal treasure chest. Every day he digs through it like he’s on a mission to find the perfect squeaker.

He’s still working hard on potty training, but he’s trying his best and learning a little more each day. When it’s time for an afternoon snooze, he loves to plop himself into the recliner, which he has claimed as his throne (even though he doesn’t quite realize how big he actually is).

Outside time is one of his favorite things, but only if a doggie friend goes with him—Rooney is still very much a follower and finds confidence when one of his buddies leads the way. And food? Oh, he LOVES food. It’s the quickest way to his heart.

At night he happily toddles into his large playpen, especially once he notices his dog companions heading to bed. It’s like he’s saying, “Okay guys, if you’re going, I guess I am too!” 😄

Rooney is sweet, silly, and so full of promise. He’s learning what home feels like, and we love watching him grow every day. 🧡

A fellow pup rescued from Alabama got a DNA test…it’s likely Rooney is the same! See photo attached. Where are the poodle lovers??
