Toulouse was brought to our hospital for urinary issues. On exam, his bladder was hard, painful, and unable to be expressed. Toulouse was diagnosed with a urinary obstruction, a serious condition requiring immediate treatment.

Toulouse was hospitalized for treatment and supportive care, including sedating him to place a urinary catheter, monitoring his urine output, IV fluids, pain medication, and GI support. We also closely monitored his blood work.

Toulouse remained hospitalized with us, including on his birthday! Of course we had to make it special, and he even enjoyed a Churu treat to celebrate! 🥰

After two days of care, Toulouse’s urinary catheter was removed. Once we confirmed he could urinate on his own, he was able to head home with medications.

Toulouse is doing great at home! 🩶

Bailey, an 8 year old Boxer, is what we like to call a repeat offender! He just can’t seem to resist trying to make friends with porcupines!

While a face full of quills is certainly no fun, Bailey was feeling much better after being sedated and having the quills removed. He was also sent home with pain medication, an antibiotic, and an anti-inflammatory.

But Bailey wasn’t the only one with a porcupine story! Apparently, he had quite the adventure to share with his two buddies, because shortly after Bailey left our hospital, his housemates came in for their own porcupine encounters! 😅

All 3 pups are doing great! ❤️🐾

Dolly is 5 years old and was brought to our hospital for vomiting.

After our team performed diagnostics, Dolly was hospitalized for a potential foreign body. She received IV fluids, GI support, and pain medication. Unfortunately, Dolly’s repeat radiographs showed no improvement, so she was taken to surgery. Check the comments to see what we removed!

Dolly is home now, and doing great! 💛🐾

Micah is 10 years old and was brought to our hospital after she ingested part of a lily leaf.

We induced vomiting, but unfortunately, Micah only brought up liquid and fur. We obtained baseline bloodwork and hospitalized her for IV fluids, close monitoring, GI support, and repeat bloodwork.

Micah did great during her stay, and her follow up bloodwork has remained normal! 🩷

Sophia is 4 years old and presented for vomiting.

While her bloodwork showed mild changes, her radiographs revealed the cause of her vomiting - a foreign body in her stomach!

After an unsuccessful attempt to induce vomiting, we performed an endoscopy and were able to remove the object! Once Sophia recovered from anesthesia, she did not require any further treatment and was able to go home. 💜

Max is a 7 year old Boxer who was brought in when he began bleeding from his mouth.

Given the amount of blood loss and active bleeding, Max was immediately sedated to evaluate the source of the bleeding. Once he was sedated, we discovered an oral mass at the base of Max’s tongue that had opened. The area was carefully debrided and closed with sutures. We also submitted the mass for testing. After recovering from sedation and getting a much-needed bath, Max was able to head home with pain medication, an anti-inflammatory, and an antibiotic.

Max has been doing well at home! More good news? His biopsy results revealed that it was a benign inflammatory growth, with no evidence of cancerous cells! 🤍🐾

Grizzly is a 6 year old Cane Corso who had a recent history of a torn dewclaw and was having some difficulty putting weight on that foot.

On exam, the area was swollen, and there was discharge coming from his nail bed. Grizzly was sedated in order for us to throughly clean the area and place a bandage. Afterwards, he was discharged with pain medication, an anti-inflammatory, and an antibiotic to treat the infection.

Grizzly is doing much better! 🩶🐾

Resting grumpy face? Definitely. Still adorable? Absolutely! 🥰

Fiona is 6 years old and presented for several days of lethargy, decreased appetite, and decreased thirst.

On arrival, Fiona had a fever of 104.7. Her bloodwork revealed an elevated white blood cell count and low protein levels. She was hospitalized for IV fluids, GI medications, antibiotics, and an appetite stimulant. Our team also closely monitored her vitals and bloodwork.

After about 24 hours of treatment, Fiona was feeling much better, and was able to be discharged with medications!

Check the comments for an adorable photo of Fiona at home! 🩷

09/02/2026

Figero is a 4 year old French Bulldog who presented with a bleeding, broken toenail. He was understandably uncomfortable and was not willing to let us get a good look at his nail, so sedation was recommended.

👉 Why do we recommend sedation? Because we’re advocating for your pet! Sedation helps reduce fear, anxiety, stress, and discomfort while allowing our team to safely and thoroughly examine and treat the problem. It makes the experience safer and less stressful for everyone, especially your pet!

Once Figero was sedated, we discovered that his nail was broken down to the nail bed, and his quick was exposed - ouch! After we removed the broken nail, we placed a bandage to prevent dirt and debris from entering the open quick and to control the bleeding. After recovering from sedation, Figero was discharged with pain medication, an anti-inflammatory, and an antibiotic.

Figero is doing well! 🤍🐾
