Soggie Doggie In May, 2018, when Jack Russell number three, JR, arrived at R-Horizon Farm, new adventures and challenges came along. Soggie Doggie was officially born.
(1)

On one of our first outings with JR we encountered a small stream where he was persistent on getting in, splashing around, and at times even pulling me off balance just to stay in the water. As summer progressed it was evident that JR loved the water. We started with a small inflatable, transitioned a few times quickly from there and soon found ourselves frequenting a big plastic pool. It was never fun when Fall came around and we had to empty the pool for winter. In the fall of 2020, a retired farm building became available and, ‘Walla’! A dedicated building where a pool could be fully enclosed and insulated for year-round swimming. The pool at Soggie Doggie is heated to a consistent temperature keeping the building comfortable, along with added play time in our half acre yard. Soggie Doggie offers multiple opportunities for you and your best furry friend. Private rental times, group session and classes are available to swim and play for all dogs. Whether it be conditioning to keep your pup in top form, weight loss, improved mobility, confidence building or even the sheer pleasure of a fun, bonding experience. Our wish is that you share the same enjoyment with swimming your dog as we have. At Soggie Doggie, it’s all about the dog!

It's always a nice surprise when I walk into the pool building and someone has left me a little note.

Ginger comes from the Pocono area on Saturday's and I hear tell she is a back seat driver the entire trip. Don't let this swimmer fool you, you can practically hear her coming up the driveway. If she had it her way she would never leave the pool!

Howdy Hazel! A first time visior to Soggie Doggie she came with zero experience. With the right approach she did a fantastic job. She was very compfortable leaving the ramp and it was smooth sailig from there. Can't wait for lesson #2!

Well we have slap happy Siryn and hope nobody sees me Hydra! These two are so comical! They have come a long way since we started. Sisters from the same litter with different thoughts and approaches on swimming. It's never a dull moment when these two are in the house!

It's never too early to start thinking about next year. Who's ready?

Skye doesn't have an limits when it comes to swimming. Her owner expected her to be a little anxious and that was very short lived. By the middle of the session she pretty much had taken over and was having a blast. Her favorite toy ended up being the ball and that is what tipped the scale into relaxing and letting the fun begin. Super Duper Skye!

Hello Addie! What a great time she had this past Saturday. Addie is active in many other things and it shows. I love the way she tucks her front legs in when she jumps from the ramp. She is very athletic and a stellar swimmer. We are so happy to add her to the Soggie Doggie Roster!

A handsome graduating class on Saturday. Kirby and Brooks finished four fantastic weeks of the Frog Class. They are both very good swimmers and have mastered the ramp. We are going to polish those skills even further with another weeks!

When the writing is on the wall. Speki is already showing great potential. This is all her idea. She is all in for most anything and I expect she will excel at everything! Beyond the ski is the limit for her. Stand back and watch her soar!
