The second day of the 2026-2027 IEA huntseat season is in the books! Our upper school team won champion again today 🎉🎉

We loved seeing our riders helping each other with horses, wiping off boots, tracking down a crop…and packing and unpacking a whole horse show 😂

Thank you so much to all of the volunteers, the show officials, and especially the horses, for being the best of the best all weekend ❤️

Fantastic first day of our “home” Huntseat IEA show weekend! Thanks to hurricane Isaias, we relocated our show at the last minute to Southern Sky Farm, and it worked so well 🎉 THANK YOU so much to Ashley Peters for allowing us to move our whole horse show weekend at the last minute, and to our team and cohosts for helping it happen!

CONGRATULATIONS to our Upper School Team on winning champion for today, to Maxine for winning Horse of the Show, and to Allie Thaxton for winning Sportsmanship today 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Looking forward to tomorrow!

How does one sum up the 2026 USDF Region 3 Championships hosted by Georgia Dressage and Combined Training Association? Fun! Do I HATE that the judges don’t celebrate the riders? Sure I do! Pick up those scores and acknowledge the hard work that got us here. That aside, GDCTA did a fantastic job with hospitality and the weather was MUCH better than predicted!!!!!! Congrats and a heart felt Thank You go out to each horse and rider that Qualified!!!!! 🥰

🐴Deuce and Cindy rode two lovely, balanced, self carried tests. Sadly the judges got caught up on how much more they wanted vs what we are trained to judge- the fairly good in front of us. This gorgeous boy will be available for sale soon though. Don’t miss out!

🐴 Findus and dagneycrowley did not disappoint. They both worked through some balance questions and will be representing at US Dressage Finals.

🐴 Debra Cosby and Q had fantastic work in the Trot and Canter. Unfortunate Walk tension tanked the fairly good scores and kept this pair out of the ribbons. Third level here we come.

🐴 Stevie and Jessica made short work of their PSG and I-1 Championships. Their scores didn’t earn Wild Cards. However, they placed among an elite crowd. This force to be reckoned with duo will be dancing down centerline in their I-1 Freestyle which placed 4th in Region 3. We are excited to see Stevie’s next chapter.

🐴Trey was distracted by an alarmed horse in the next arena. However, he came to play and also remained in the top 1/3 of a huge 3rd Level Class.

Also a huge shout out to our friend, Laura Duhamel and her boy Astaire for earning a trip North for 4th Level Finals.
