🌻 Happy 67th Birthday in Heaven, Mom
Today would have been my mom’s 67th birthday—her third one in heaven. And while I know she’s watching over me, I miss her more than words can say. I miss our talks, her laugh, her stories, her presence. A piece of me left the day she did, and life hasn’t been the same since.
I feel lucky every single day that I got to call her my mom. I hope she feels my love and knows how much she still means to me.
Since she passed, I’ve found comfort in gardening. Most of you knew my mom tried so hard to grow flowers, even though she didn’t have the best green thumb. Somehow, I think she’s helped me find mine. My tallest sunflower reached 13.5 feet this season, and as it faded, it formed a heart looking down at me. I knew it was her—letting me know she’s still here, in the smallest, most beautiful ways.
This summer, Mom’s spirit went on the trip of a lifetime. A dear friend took a part of her—some of her ashes—with them to Scotland, a place she always dreamed of visiting. Though she never got to go in her human form, she made the journey in her spirit life. For those who knew her well, you’ll remember her love for the movie Highlander (one of the many movies she loved) and her fondness for all things Scottie. Now, a part of her and one of her cherished necklaces rests near the water at Eilean Donan Castle, where Highlander was filmed in 1986. She finally made it!!
She visited castles, cathedrals, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, and the Highlands—and even stood beneath the towering Kelpies Horse Statues in Falkirk, symbols of strength and spirit. All summer long, she’s been sending me signs of her joy. I’m so grateful to the friends who helped her make that journey. If you ever find yourself in Scotland, stop by Eilean Donan Castle and say hi to Mom.
Happy Birthday, Mom! I love and miss you every day. I’ll keep sharing your story, keep talking to you, and keep trying to make you proud. I hope you and the Spath family are celebrating today in heaven, surrounded by love and laughter.

Will everyone take a moment to share your favorite memory of my mom,Mary Loch, or a picture of your scottie(s). I would to archive all I can about your favorite memories, since Broken Wheel Farms Kennel Llc has been sold. I was thankful enough for a kind friend to tell me the news tonight, even though it been sold for a couple weeks, with no knowledge to myself, ( Mary's Daughter). All of her memories, my family heirlooms and any remnants left of my childhood belongings are forever gone.

I want to thank everyone again for all the prayers and condolences being sent to our family during this very difficult time. The outreach of love, compassion, the memories being shared, the laughs, the tears, the hugs and all the texts and phone calls have been more than we could have ever imagined. My mother touched so many lives in so many ways. I'm asking if anyone has anyone photos of my mom they would like to share, I would love if you would either tag her Mary Loch in it or please send me a personal message or even an email ([email protected]) before this Wednesday 5/17. I'd love to put it on the slide show or her memory board. Thank you again for giving our family the time to grieve and for all the prayers. God Bless.

Today heaven gained a beautiful and caring soul. Mary Loch , my beautiful mother, a loving wife, a sister, a grandmother, an aunt, a cherished member of her community, a loving friend to all is now in heaven watching over us all. Please pray and give our family the time for grieving during this time. Mom, I love you to the moon and back. You will always be with me.
