The LEASH has always been and will always be the most important tool in dog training. This is no different for introducing dogs and children, and like many other scenarios, is the safest measure. There are so many dogs being euthanized every day for having made bad choices around children, but they weren’t given any help, guidance, or support to help them make better choices. You must also have equal control with the child, not just the dog otherwise, it’s an unfair ask of the dog when the child isn’t respecting boundaries and giving space either.

PUPPY ADVICE - DONT MAKE MISTAKES. This isn’t meant to be funny. That’s literally the best plan. In another video I’ll list the most common mistakes but success starts with having a proper heading. A compass. Keeping your puppy from hard times is far more important than anything you could add to their commands list or to their experiences.
