Tomorrow is picture dayā¦ the very last one for Jades litter. Weāll be finishing up kennel and sound training, soaking up every bit of playtime, and honestlyā¦ making a whole lot of sweet little messes I know Iāll miss. Jadeās babies will get their final nail trims, and Iām already feeling that little ache knowing weāre at the end.
And then Saturday comesā¦ when we say goodbye to Zara, Lily, and Crisp. š¢š„ŗ
My three little girls who live to climb the tops of the kennelsāevery day I walk in and catch them up there, and every day they scramble to get down so fast, like I didnāt just watch the whole thing. š«£š¤¦āāļøš Itās the silliest, most precious sight, and the thought of not seeing it anymoreā¦ whew.
Their zoomies, their chaos, their personalitiesāLily and Tessa with their tiny feisty tantrums, all of them peeking through the other areas trying to find one another or climbing into other litter areasāitās those little things that make this part so hard. š¤¦āāļøš©š¤£
Tessa meets her family saturday as well and knowing Iāll see her again in February (and hopefully more often since they homeschool now ā¤ļø) brings so much comfort. I canāt wait to watch her grow into the amazing girl I know sheāll be. āŗļø (perks of still being friends with one your childhood best friends)
And while weāre talking about Tessaā¦ the next few months will start a new chapter. Iāll begin searching for a male to pair with Tessa and Ivy in the future. That means Iāll also be looking for a guardian home for a mini red maleāeither solid or a little tuxedo boy like Ovie, just a bit smaller.

This part of the journey is always bittersweetāletting go, watching them leave, trusting theyāll be loved as deeply as theyāve been loved here. But goodnessā¦ what a gift it is to be part of their first chapter. š
