25 years ago and today we remember all those humans and dogs who responded to the call that morning. We will never forget.

Good morning, and welcome to our favorite week of the year...Zookeeper Week!

This is the week of the year that we celebrate the dedicated, hardworking, passionate professionals that we call zookeepers. From early mornings to late nights, from sweltering heat to frigid cold, from tears of joy (and the ones of sadness), they do it all. Daily medications, training sessions, enrichment wins (and fails), hauling hay bales, feed bags, sand, rocks, woodchips, pine shavings, compost, meat, produce, shoveling snow, whipping weeds, cleaning pools, keeper chats, animal demos, and an infinite amount of other responsibilities are all part of the job.
We know that every zookeeper was once a kid who loved animals, and this week we're celebrating a group of people that are living their dream!

From left to right, meet Zookeeper Spencer, Zookeeper John, Zookeeper Olivia, Zookeeper Angie, Zookeeper Trista, and Zookeeper Michelle.

Please help us show them some appreciation as we celebrate our one of a kind team of zookeepers! Be sure to check back throughout the week to see the fun way we'll be highlighting each individual keeper.

Happy Zookeeper Week!!
