Great show had by all at the Big Apple! Lots of wins, top placings… a couple belt buckles, a saddle and a reserve yearling Aphc champion brought home!❤️

Back home from a wonderful show held by the Lake Champlain Appaloosa club.Wins and top placings by all in some good size...

Back home from a wonderful show held by the Lake Champlain Appaloosa club.
Wins and top placings by all in some good size classes with some tough competition.
The yearling made her debut with myself in the open division and her owner Sara Shue in the non-pro handle it likes she’s been doing it for ever. placing in both the nonpro and open halter, non pro HIH and the open HIH . 2nd under all judges cards in the lunge line and 1st under all judges cards in the in hand trail.
Florence the Machine had wins in the youth mares, youth most colorful, top placings in the showmanship, wins under all the judges cards in the NY wp, a 1st n 2nd in a deep youth WP even with her saddle almost sliding off😂🤦‍♀️
Sara and Soltary Lad had wins across the board in the Novice NP HUS and also had great placing in a deep NP HIH (sorry Sarah i couldn’t remember) and non pro most colorful.
Sarah and Caught Sleeping had top placings in the NP halter, NP HIH and the showmanship in some pretty deep classes.
I’m Eddie Murphy did the NY and Youth HUS with placings on all judges cards, but again I couldn’t remember for some odd reasons like Sara said at 9 am Saturday i feel like I’ve been going strong for days😂
As always a wonderful show to attend ❤️

Haven’t made any post about the show season yet this year, but it’s definitely been well under way here at the farm.
PW and Amber started the APHA/ PTha season a few months ago and have been nailing the goals we made over the winter. Getting Grades in Halter, winning the trail, and bringing home one all-round high point back in May… June is his “reset”month and July he’ll be back on the round.
Lanna hit up NH over the weekend that ended sooner than expected because her big , goofy Eddie stepped on her foot 🤦‍♀️ but with them doing just a few classes with only Flo she still managed to bring home the reserve novice youth high point my favorite was her winning the showmanship under all the judges cards… from where she started years ago in showmanship 😂🤦‍♀️ to winning with a busted up foot is very impressive. Next on the list is Lake Champlain 🤗

Whether inside or outside a mid day nap is a MUST for “ole grand papy Bo” all though he’s only 16 he decided to join the mid day napping crew after his mom decided a spring tuneup was needed in April. I personally believe he started this to get out of work (which he still had to work) and since then realized mid day naps are needed. Normally the mid day napping starts around 1230 at the farm, but with the farrier today he’s nap time (along with the rest of the club) was set back to later because his pedicure interrupted his schedule 😂 rough life they have😂🤦‍♀️ the 2 outside pictures are 2 different days😂

It’s been a LONG winter that’s still trying to hold on, but that’s not stopping the barn from getting a facelift ❤️
