Update 1/25- We have had lots of inquiries and interest in Shelly but so far have not received any applications to foster her. 😭 We really appreciate all the kind words and thoughts and prayers and shares. What Shelly really needs now though is someone to follow through and commit to opening their home to her. 🙏🐾❤️

TWO. LONG. YEARS… 💔

Yes, you read that right. Two years is how long sweet Shelly has been waiting in a shelter. Two years of boredom, two years of loneliness, two years of wondering why nobody sees her. 👀

Who is Shelly? 🐾
Shelly is a four year-old sweet pity mix who has spent more than half of her life in a shelter waiting for rescue.

Why has Shelly been waiting so long? ⏰
Honestly, we have no idea. The staff at both shelters she has been at have stated she is friendly, walks well on a leash, wants to learn new things, and is a cuddle bug. Sadly though, Shelly is a black pity mix dog who has become invisible. Black dogs are often overlooked in shelters and Shelly is no exception.

We would love to welcome Shelly to SEPR. The time has come to show her that life doesn’t have to be lonely, cold, and made of concrete floors.

This is where you come in! We need a foster home to commit to caring for Shelly until she can find her forever family. 🙏
