Gentle Healer Pet Clinic

Gentle Healer Pet Clinic "Where your pets are family." Gentle Healer Pet Clinic first opened in 2003 under the guiding hand of Dr. Scott Harman. Daniel Borsdorf and Nathan Poser.

The clinic was started in a turn-of-the-century cream city brick house on Market Street. As time passed, due to the excellent care he and his staff provided and the compassion shown, Dr. Scott rapidly outgrew the space. After several years of looking and planning, In 2015, Dr. Scott bought a new building located at 301 West Spaulding Street where the clinic has continued to grow and thrive. In 201

8, after much thought and reflection, Dr. Scott decided to scale back and sell the practice. At that time, Gentle Healer joined a network of other privately owned practices called Animal Wellness Centers. Dr. Scott now works a day or two per week and has shifted the daunting burden of carrying on the legacy of Gentle Healer Pet Clinic to Drs. Dr. Dan is a farm boy from Illinois and a 2012 Graduate from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. His practice background is diverse, which allows him to bring a wide variety of skills and services to our clinic! Having started in large animal medicine and mixed practice and, before coming to Animal Wellness Centers/Gentle Healer, working in Emergency Medicine, his practice skillset truly covers a broad scope! Dr. Nathan is a 2021 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison College of Veterinary Medicine. He’s a local, growing up just down the road in Johnson’s Creek. Armed with all of the most current medical knowledge and trained in the newest techniques, Dr. Nathan has been an excellent addition to our practice! Over the years, much has changed, but one thing that has remained constant is the commitment to providing the highest standard of care for the pets of Watertown and the surrounding communities.

πŸ’™ Thank You for an Amazing Tech Week! πŸ’™

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate our incredible superhero staff during Tech Week! It was so heartwarming to see the outpouring of support and how well everyone knows and appreciates our amazing team.

A big shout-out to Trupanion, MWI, Elanco, Zoetis, and Nutramax for keeping our staff fed and bringing so much fun to the week!

An extra-special thank you to Chandler House Bakery the Pitchette family, and Gus, Leo, Lewis, and Mr. Monk Hassi for going above and beyond to make our team feel special.

Along with all the wonderful community support, we had a blast during our lunch hours with themed days, some truly cringy 80’s photos, and a clinic-wide duck hunt that kept everyone smiling! πŸ¦†πŸŽ‰

We are truly grateful for our wonderful community β€” we couldn’t do what we do without your love and support! πŸ’•
