Gave Miss Sylvie a makeover today!

Some dogs come with a few extra needs, and Sylvie is one of them. ❤️

At 8 years old, Sylvie has spent most of her life living outside, so she never had the opportunity to learn all of the things that come naturally to dogs who have grown up in a home. Despite our best efforts, she has never become fully house trained and may still have occasional accidents. Her future family will need to be patient, understanding and willing to work with her rather than expecting perfection.

Sylvie also has a special medical need that will be part of her everyday care. She requires prescription urinary food to help keep her healthy, which can cost several hundred dollars a month. This is a significant commitment, and we want to be upfront about it so we can find the right family for her.

We know that's asking a lot. But we also know that Sylvie has so much to give in return.

She is a sweet, loving girl who wants nothing more than a comfortable home, a soft place to sleep and someone to share her days with. Her cuddles, companionship and lovely personality are worth every bit of the extra effort.

Making progress! Super productive day with Cassandra where we did second coat of paint and got the tub put together! Now all we need to do is get the plumbing stuff done, my desk put together and get another table and we will be on our way!

The new tub has been delivered! Just need to get another table ordered, and some plumbing/new water heater done and we will be set! So excited!

Worked on painting the new salon today! Pretty awesome what a little paint can do! There's still a lot of work to be done but I'm so excited to see the progress. Peep Cassandra being the fabulous unicorn she is ❤️
✨she will have her own post introducing her addition to the team ✨

I wanted to go over some of the exciting things to come:

🐾 I will have a front lobby!
~I will have a front desk and check in area at the end by where the garage door is.
~ I do ask that when you arrive for pick up, please still notify me so that if I'm not quite finished with your pup, they don't get distracted and I can finish their groom safely ❤️
~I ask that pickups still be prompt within the time frame given with completion texts, unless discussed before hand, in which I can hold your pup for a reasonable amount of time. Late pickups past 15 minutes may incur a late pickup fee

🐾 I will be offering one on one and express grooming!
~We will still be a low-volume salon
~If you would like to keep one on one appointments, let me know and I will schedule as such
~There will not be extra fees for booking as one on one
~Express grooming will still be straight through, however appointments will be staggered where once one dog is bathed and dried, the next appointment will arrive to start their bath and dry while the other completes their groom
~There will be no more than two dogs at a time, unless there are multiple dogs in one household dropping off together in which case that family will be the only ones scheduled for that time frame
~I will have kennels that will only be used if someone is late picking up, or if there is a situation where a pup is too stressed with the velocity dryer that we may use a kennel dryer
*kennels will be within eyesight at all times with constant monitoring if/when in use

🐾 New hydraulic tub and bathing system!
~I have ordered a new hydraulic tub that will be great for pups that are nervous about climbing up steps and ramps that are on many grooming tubs
~New bather box bathing system which will help us to bathe dogs more quickly and efficiently

Heyo everyone! So, exciting news, I will be moving location to 100 Stimpson st here in town! Lake Country K9-5 LLC and I are converting the old car wash into a boarding/grooming facility! There's a ton of work to do, but I'm hoping to have everything going by mid-late October as long as things go smoothly. The public hearing for boarding will be on Monday at 4:30 at the Watertown City Hall located at 106 Jones St, for anyone who would like to show support! For folks that I come for house call appointments, I will still continue to offer it so don't you worry!

I am still working on updates, if anyone is wanting to contribute to helping with funding, I will apply discounts for the amounts donated towards future grooms, as well as free teeth brushing/breath spray. For more significant donations I also will create a plaque with your and your pups names that will be posted on the front desk as a Founders Wall ❤️ Donations can be done via cash, check or venmo💖

I'm so excited for this opportunity to grow after being in business the last 3+ years. I wouldn't be where I am now if it weren't for my mentors throughout the years, support from family and friends, and of course my amazing clients ❤️

Hello everyone! I am opening my books to new clients in salon, and crossing fingers for some exciting news coming soon! I have some slots open Thursday this week, next week, and a handful more after! I'm working at training a grooming assistant/bather, so I will be able to take more dogs in a day and hoping to eventually be able to offer the Mondays and Fridays I'm off for bath and nail trims at salon! I will keep you all posted and will update things as we move forward!
