This isn’t a replacement for real exercise or training.

But if you’re slammed, tired, or stuck inside — this is how you keep your dog fulfilled instead of chaotic.

Use them intentionally. Stay consistent.

Everything I recommend is in my storefront — linked in my bio 🫶🏼🐾

Most dog owners think better behavior comes from teaching more commands. In reality, the biggest changes usually happen when we change a few things first.

The small, everyday moments matter more than people realize. The way we follow through. The way we handle the little pushy behaviors. The structure we do (or don’t) give our dogs.

Dog training isn’t some big finish line you reach one day. It’s the way you live with your dog every day.

And the cool part? Once owners start seeing that shift… things usually get a whole lot easier for both ends of the leash.

Curious which mindset shift hit home for you most? 👇🏼🐾

One thing people don’t always realize about dog training…

The dogs are only half of it.

What really fills my cup is the owners who stay invested in the process. Not just during training, but after their dog goes home.

The ones who ask questions.
Who read the long go-home booklet I spent hours putting together.
Who send texts like “we just had our best walk ever.”
Who tag me in their progress posts weeks or months later.
Who bring their dog back for boarding and it’s obvious they kept up with the training at home.

That’s the stuff that makes this work meaningful. Because the goal was never for your dog to only listen to me — it’s for you to build a better relationship with your dog and feel confident handling them in everyday life.

So when I see owners actually applying the things we worked on… that’s the real win. Those moments remind me why I love doing what I do.

I’m grateful for the clients who truly show up for their dogs 🤎

Your dog didn’t forget their training.
And your Board & Train didn’t “wear off.”

What usually happens is much quieter — and way more common.

Here’s how owners unknowingly undo progress once their dog comes home:

• Dropping consistency with the “small things.”
Letting them blast through doors, pull “sometimes,” eat before permission — those moments matter more than people realize.

• Repeating commands without follow-through.
Every extra “sit… sit… SIT” teaches your dog that listening is optional.

• Expecting training to be “done.”
Board & Train builds the foundation. Real life is where it’s maintained.

• Too much freedom, too fast.
Sleeping in the bed immediately, zero crating, full house access — freedom should be earned, not handed back all at once.

• Avoiding stressful moments instead of working through them.
Confidence isn’t built by avoidance. It’s built by guidance inside the hard moments.

• Feeling guilty about structure.
If you were used to no rules before, structure can look harsh.
But for dogs, clarity = calm. Place, boundaries, and routine are what actually help their nervous system settle.

Structure isn’t mean.
Consistency isn’t cruel.
And leadership isn’t the opposite of love.

If post-training life feels harder than expected — you’re not failing.
You’re still learning just as your dog is, but these are some of the key points you should focus on if things seem like they’re falling apart.

We’re so excited to share that our family is growing — our second daughter will be joining us this July 💕

As always, I’ll keep everyone updated on boarding & training availability as we move through the summer months. Thank you for your continued support and understanding as our family enters this new season.

And to the mamas still waiting, hoping, or carrying quiet grief — you are seen, you are not forgotten, and my heart is with you 🤍

As 2025 comes to a close and we step into 2026, I’m sitting in a lot of gratitude, and a lot of reflection 🥹🫶🏼

With us being a small, in-home business, the impact this year was anything but small. We completed 21 Board & Train programs — 21 dogs, 21 owners, and 21 completely different stories. Different temperaments, different struggles, different breakthroughs. That’s the part of this work I will never take for granted, especially when things seem hard and overwhelming.

So many of our board and train graduates stayed with us for boarding, and it’s so inspiring to see how they remember all of their training and enjoy being here with us.

We also fostered and trained 3 dogs, all of whom are now in loving homes. We made new improvements to our home and facility to continue raising the bar for safety, comfort, and care for the dogs who stay with us.

With our Bloodhound Riv (most of y’all’s favorite girl), we recovered 8 out of 15 whitetail deer tracks, including 4 proof of life’s. I’m proud of the work she did this season, especially with the limited time we had to take on tracks. Getting out with my personal dogs and doing what I love has always mattered to me, and it’s something I don’t plan to let go of. Being able to include my daughter on a few tracks this year was a pretty special full-circle moment.

Being a business owner, wife, and mom means I don’t always get to put myself or even my own dogs first. That’s just real life. But 2025 taught me a lot about balance, patience, and trusting the process — lessons I’m carrying straight into 2026.

I’m also deeply grateful to be entering another new year with all three of our girls. Time is humbling, and nothing makes that clearer than watching your dogs age and turn grey beside you.

Thank you to every client, friend, and family member who supported Country K-Nine this year. Your trust, encouragement, and belief in me mean everything.

Closing out 2025 grounded, grateful, and ready for what 2026 has in store. Happy New Year 🫶🏼🐾🎉
