π΄π¦ Chewy. Everyone knows the name. But we want to talk about what that name means to a rescue like ours.
This picture may be from this past winter, but it sums up why we are so grateful for what Chewy makes possible for a rescue like ours.Β
Living in a rural part of Wisconsin has its perks... Peace, quiet, plenty of space for horses... and sometimes a little less convenience when you suddenly realize you need something for 23 equines. π
Of course, we have TSC and local feed stores that we absolutely appreciate, but having Chewy available to us has been HUGE.
Our Chewy wishlist gives our supporters the ability to purchase something we need from wherever they are and have it shipped directly to the rescue. No coordinating pickups. No figuring out how to get it here. A few clicks, and before we know it, thereβs another box sitting at our door. π¦π
And Chewy doesn't just deliver the supplies. Their communication with us about orders purchased on our behalf is fantastic, which makes keeping track of incoming donations so much easier.
We even have a few necessities set up on a weekly drop, but those surprise boxes from our wishlist? They mean more than people probably realize.
A tube of dewormer. A supplement. Fly supplies. Something we use every single day.
One person might look at it and think, βItβs just one item.β
We look at it and think, βThat's one less thing we have to purchase this week.β
And when you're caring for an entire herd, those individual items add up in a BIG way.
So thank you to everyone who has ever clicked on our wishlist and sent something our way. And a huge thank you to Chewy for making it so incredibly easy for people near and far to directly support the animals who call Lucky Clover home. π΄π
Sometimes support arrives as a donation.
Sometimes it arrives in a cardboard box on the porch. ππ¦
