Riding bridleless or a neck rope paired with a bridle teaches and reminds us about how important our body and balance really is. We have all been told less hand! You can say it over and over and explain but FEELING why the body cues matter more than the hands is entirely different. That’s when it clicks. Reminds the rider that their hands are not the main form of communication with their horse and helps to realize how much one as a rider actually relies on the horses mouth! This can be seen by the difference in the horses behavior. If they are more relaxed and happy and not running away it means your hands have been making them brace with the bridle. Eventually practicing this will transmit into riding with your bridle. Not just all that, but it’s another fun bonding activity to do and teach with your horse 💘
