Please consider supporting Clear Creek Cat Rescue’s efforts to support Darlene!
Little Miss Darlene--she could a little help.
This tiny baby girl was found under a porch in a dog house. There were other kittens in the house too; they scattered when the person came to check whether the blanket inside was wet. It was wet and this one little tiny furry thing was wet too. But she wasn't able to run away.
Darlene seems to be paralyzed on her back end. She cannot move her legs. But the rest of her desperately wants to be fun and happy kitten. The nice woman who found her took her immediately inside to dry her off and then directly to the vet. Seeing that kitten was 'special' , the vet called us to get her into a home as soon as possible.
Darling Darlene is now in a foster home playing with a kitten friend and getting the best care possible. She is unable to walk or control her p*e and poo so she has a special set up to be able to keep her clean and dry and happy. She is already playing like nothing is wrong and scooting around like a little champ.
Darlene is going to need far more vet care than the normal kitten. This coming week she should have X-rays and whatever other diagnostics are needed to try to pinpoint why her back end is paralyzed. We hope there will be some answers to direct us to a treatment that might help her mobility. Maybe there's a surgery. Maybe there is physical therapy. Whatever is out there to give this tiny one a chance at a happy healthy and more normal life; that is what we want to give her.
Darlene has already shown up that she is a bright, playful, spunky little girl. What she needs now is help from those who will give her every chance for a great future.
If you can donate toward Darlene's care and vet bills, we would be so grateful. And she promises to make the most of every minute she has to enjoy this new chance of having a great life.
Many thanks to the kind woman who took Darlene to the vet, to the wonderful vets at VCA East, and to the amazing foster who took Darlene in without a single hesitation. They saved her life.
And to all of you who can donate, even a few dollars, we thank you for the love you show to those who need us all the most. 💖
