If you have a dog that struggles with reactivity, human or dog aggression, grooming, vet visits, resource guarding, or anything that has the potential to become a safety concern or liability, please don’t wait until something happens to seek help.
It’s so much easier to address these behaviors before there’s an incident, and getting help early can make such a difference!
And if you’ve already reached out for help but didn’t get what you needed, mesh well with the trainer, didn’t feel comfortable with their approach, or simply didn’t have a good experience, please don’t give up there.
There are so many different trainers, training styles, and approaches out there.
Finding someone you trust and feel comfortable working with matters.
I actually had a client who completed two rounds of group classes with us. They made some really great progress, but ultimately their dog needed more than what I was able to offer through our classes.
They ended up going to another trainer and were really happy with the results!
And I LOVE that!
I’m genuinely happy when people find what works for them and their dogs, even when that means continuing their training journey somewhere else.
Sometimes one trainer can help build a foundation, but another trainer or program may be better equipped to help with the next steps. That doesn’t mean the previous training was a waste or that anyone failed.
It just means the dog needed something different!
And that includes us!
If you’ve worked with Find Your Zen and we weren’t the right fit, or you feel like your dog needs something different than what we offer, please reach out.
We’re always happy to point you toward other trainers or resources that may be a better fit.
We understand that we aren’t going to be the right trainer for every person or every dog, and that’s completely okay.
I don’t believe dog training should be about competing for clients or making people feel like they have to stick with one trainer forever.
At the end of the day, my goal has always been to help dogs and their people live happier, safer, and more enjoyable lives together.
Whether that happens with us, another trainer, or a combination of both, I’m just happy to see dogs and their owners succeeding💜
