Behind the Scenes: Nike's creations 📦

You may be familiar with Nike’s paintings. Did you know he is also an architect? Nike likes boxes. Lots and lots of boxes.

In between outings, you'll often find him in his room building, rearranging, playing, sitting in, and supervising his cardboard creations. So much so, that a fully stocked supply of empty boxes is placed next to his room, just waiting to become his next masterpiece!

CRCCS is entering a defining moment.

What began as a response to the heartbreaking reality that too many animals were being misunderstood, mislabeled, or left without options has grown into something much bigger than we ever imagined.

Every day, we meet animals who need a different path forward. Dogs who have run out of options. Families in crisis. Shelters and rescue groups overwhelmed by the growing demand for behavioral support and rehabilitation.

And the truth is, the need for this work has never been greater.

CRCCS is a specialty center built around behavior, education, prevention, rehabilitation, and partnership. Our purpose is simple: keep animals in homes whenever possible, reduce returns, reduce euthanasia, support families, and create better outcomes for animals who need time, expertise, and individualized care.

From Northern Nevada, we are helping build a future where animals are understood instead of written off, where families are given support instead of judgment, and where more animals get the second chances they deserve.

This work belongs to all of us.

To every volunteer, donor, adopter, foster, supporter, and friend who has stood beside us along the way—thank you. You are part of every life changed, every family kept together, and every dog who got another chance.
